Brilliant tyres
Since buying these I haven't had any more punctures

Works very well and doesn't have any problems yet, good grip and it survived a day on bumby Irish roads covered in chips

2 failed in last 2 weeks, both less than 6 weeks old. I would look for an alternative.
Side wall cording barely covered by rubber, on new tyres with some exposed. So prone to blistering and side wall damage. Had 4000’s before which were fine but 5000’s just rubbish. Last one survived 3 x 50mile rides. Just received a replacement for the damaged tyre that had side wall blistered after a week with cording clearly damaged. Could the use of a ‘strapping machine’ be the reason? The strapping has been wound so tight it has deformed the tyre wall and beading.

Does not cut up
I can directly compare this tyre to the Schwalbe Pro One which is highly rated and ofen top of its class. I've used 2 of the Schwalbes (rear wheel) on my race bike and they both cut up severely in the early days of use on UK roads. I switched to the Continental 5000 TL as a lifelong user of this brand and it far more durable. Despite in the region of 800km with this tyre (rear) and on familiar roads, it shows no signs of cutting up or wear. Unlike with the Schwalbes I can go out for a 3 hour plus ride without any concern for a puncture that will not self-seal with the internal sealant.

A great all-round tyer

Disappointing
I have had 2 sets of these tires for around 6 months and I'm a little disappointed. One set unfortunately get cut by a nice bit of flint which is just one of those things. This set are starting to crack, with not even 6 month on then 600 miles. So looks like the new compound is not that grate after all!They do ride well and feel fast though. No loss of grip. So just on the fence and a little disappointed that they are cracking after such a short time
