Love this light. Very easy to use, portable, convenient, bright, not hot. I plug it into an electrical outlet by the sofa and have it on when I catch up on the morning news. Boyfriend’s cat loves it (will take my seat by the light if I get up).Regarding benefits.... I’m a scientist who studied circadian rhythms as part of my PhD years ago and they do exist, are definitely impacted by light-dark cycles, impact health, and the light dark impacts release of many hormones. I’m skeptical and so withhold judgement awhile as to if this light helps, but it doesn’t hurt and for the price, is worth a try.I definitely suffer from the fall time change and shorter daylight hours.... poor sleep, low energy, blah feeling. Since we turned the clocks forward, I had not slept soundly a single night... restless, only about 3 hours sleep per night, and I wanted to hibernate. This is typical of my experience every year at this time. However after one day of using the light, I slept extremely well, 8 hours straight, and felt refreshed. I was not expecting to have a change after one use and it could just be coincidental.... not a scientific study at all. Regardless, I do think the bright light that is produced is pleasant and helps me get going during these gloomy days. I think it is worth trying.

I was disappointed at first as it is so much smaller than I anticipated... barely bigger than a deck of cards. But wow is this light bright!! It's fantastic. I keep it on my desk at work during fall/winter and it keeps a lot. Well worth the price.

This is very portable, taking up a small space.This light has a power button - not obvious, that is on the back cover. It has 3 light settings but the bottom two settings are very weak light and of no use at all to me - the strongest setting will work for me but I don't need the 10000 lux, I am ok with less than that.This light connects with a usb cord and can be plugged into your computer/phone. A usb to regular 120v outlet plug is also included.When looking at this one compared to the Circadian Optics Lumos 2.0 Light Therapy Lamp, the light is a lot less strong (maybe half as much). So you need to look directly into the light. This one needs to be literally about 4" from your eyes to get the same amount of light as the Lumos light (full name above) gives sitting by the keyboard - about 13" from eyes and pointed down (not looking at it directly).I don't need the full 10000 lux to get the benefit and really wanted the usb ability so for me this works fine.I knocked it down by one star because the light intensity is not as much - I would have liked more, but I can live with this amount.

Like many people, my mood tends to take a nose dive in the wintertime when I'm spending less time outside and everything is just generally grey and gloomy. I've heard about light "therapy" for a while now and finally gave it a shot. Let me tell you that regardless of if it's a placebo or not, I feel like this little light genuinely does help. I've noticed that I have more energy during the day and go to bed at a more reasonable hour at night when I use this. I decided on this mini one instead of the normal size because of the steep price difference for essentially the same effect. Plus it folds up which makes it easy to store or take with me somewhere. It does need some time and willpower to form a habit of using it, which ironically is exactly what this is supposed to help improve. I like using it and will recommend it to others who have some seasonal mood problems.

I was so excited to get this Therapy Light! I knew it was going to be small enough to use on my desk top...but I wondered if it would still be effective. Well wonder no more! I have only used it twice at the time of this review, but I have noticed a small difference already. I am heading out of town this weekend, and am very happy this will be folding up and coming with me! I don't want to miss a single day of light therapy. The size of this light is roughly the size of a deck of cards...1 1/4 actually! But more than able to slip into a purse, overnight bag, lunch box, etc. I am using light therapy for crashed adrenal glands...so I need to use it EVERY DAY! There are 3 settings, but I am on the lowest setting right now...I am a beginner. I will update this review after a few weeks on light therapy and let you know how the light is working out.Update: 1 full week of light therapy and I am full of life! This light is just right for my needs. I place it on my desk on the left side for half and hour then move it to the right side for the last half hour. So compact and easy to work with...long gone are the days of big lights that were almost the size of a desk!Customer Service: I emailed the company about a tiny rattle in my lamp. Kind of like a tiny piece of something broke off during shipping. The lamp is still working, but I feared it may stop in the near future it a part is broken off inside. I was more curious about the return/exchange policy. Well the company has customer service that is as GREAT as their products! They have offered to ship me a new lamp...even though mine is still working. Now that is how a company is and stays SUCCESSFUL!! I will definitely be recommending Circadian Optics to anyone who needs light therapy!
