Blum Hinge Angle Restriction Clip (2 per Pack)

I bought this clip to install with the Blum 110 degree hinge and it works like a charm. I'm now laughing at all the poor reviews of this product. The description states that it is for a specific type of Blum hinge. If you buy this hoping it will work on a different hinge and then it doesn't, why would you leave a poor review?And if you are having problems using this on the correct hinge, you must be installing it wrong.There are no instructions with this product - I'll grant you that. And it's not necesarrily obvious where it should go by looking at it. So, do yourself a favor and pull up one of the online videos showing this clip being installed. You will discover it is literally a five second process and couldn't be easier.Normally I don't bother with reviews. But, I almost chose not to buy the Blum hinges altogether just because this clip got bad reviews and one of my doors needed it. In the end I went ahead and bought them anyway hoping I wouldn't have a problem. Obviously I didn't.

Unfortunately, these are just as flimsy and useless as many other reviewers have said. I was prepared to pay the $5 if it meant that these small pieces of plastic would solve my problem, but in the end, I guess I just shelled out $5 for two worthless, flimsy pieces of plastic. Please save your money and avoid this overpriced rubbish.

Easy to install and went in with no issues. I installed on a 3 hing cabinet door and just loosed one hing to install. Cabinet door no longer hits the wall when fully opened. Will be intalling throughout the house.Note I installed on Blum 110 degree Blum soft close cabinets.

They're better than nothing but they don't really limit the movement of the door/hinge. The knob still smacks the mirror as the "stop" isn't positive. I have 5 hinges and 5 restrictor clips and - while better than nothing - the door knob still hits the wall (and it shouldn't if they actually stopped the door at 86 degrees). In my installation, there should still be @ 1"+ of margin but the door is allowed to move beyond that amount if you open it like most people open a cabinet door. If you go s l o w, you're golden. If you just open it, not so much.Just setting expectations for the next person who buys them. They're not rocket science to install (you do have to take the door off the cabinet) and they don't "break" if properly installed nor do they fall out (they have ears on them to hold them to the hinge mechanism). They're just soft plastic..... If you need a lot of these, there are cheaper alternatives available online. Since I only needed two more, I went this route. If I needed a bunch, I'd have bought in bulk for not much more than I paid for the 5 I have. (I have found them as cheap as $.60 each in lots of 100).

Worked for our clip on soft close hinges but they were a little tight so we had to use a tiny file to open up the area where you place the clip and then gently push in until it's stable and then took the back of a table knife and pushed it in completely. Use a pair of tweezers or small needle nose pliers to hold the clip since they are very tiny. Also a magnifying glass and a good light. The clip was quite tight but we got it in and it does work to restrict the opening to 85 degrees. Does the trick to keep the cabinets doors from banging adjacent walls or cabinets. We have 40 inch upper cabinets so it took 2 people to take the door off and put it back on. The clip on hinges make it easy so u don't have to unscrew anything. No instructions included but we used youtube to find a video that demonstrates installation of two different kinds of clips. Depending on your hinge type will determine which clip to buy. Do some research first before you buy the clip.

Blum makes the soft close hinges that IKEA sells that have the 110 degree opening. These little clips easily snap into the IKEA hinges to restrict the opening to closer to 90-95 degrees. Recommend ordering the 10 pack since they are a bit expensive to purchase separately.

The clip works as advertised! The door swing is now restricted to less than 90degrees. WIthout the clip, the door swing was 110degrees. You must take the door off, close the hinge and insert the clip per instructions found on BLUM website. The clip snaps right in. Very easy install. No instructions are included with clips. Note that these clips WILL ONLY WORK for the 110degree BLUMOTION style hinge.
