Wow- dark, gory and twisted
***Purchased a Paperback copy***This book was awesome. Make sure you read the warnings before you purchase it - this is not a book for the weak at heart or closed-minded people. This book is dark, gory and twisted. The scenes and what goes on in the story will keep you on the edge of your seat and amazed at the author for writing it.Gabe is a psycho and when the mayor can't pay a debt he goes after what he wants.Amelia is a good girl and decides to go to a party with her friend. She ends up drunk and Gabe comes to the rescue. She thinks he is her savior until the next day. Now she realizes he is the Devil and she is finding out things about him, her dad and other high up people that she can't believe. As the story progresses Amelia changes and the fun begins.

Considerations on Deliveration
I do not often review books. I will say that first. However, I am a voracious reader, and typically go through books continuously. This is not what I expected, and is not for the faint of heart. Hearts and flowers and devotion this book is not. However, it will grab you and hold you (not unlike its protagonist) while it takes you for a wild ride. Often, in books like this, the question is, "What will the heroine do to reform him?". That was not the driving force here. Rather, the reader wonders, "What will the heroine do to escape him, and will she be strong enough to do it?"Gabriel is not someone who could easily be seen as a potential love. His psychology is vividly wild; careening down dark allies that somehow remain grotesquely lit. After all, the darkest shadows are only made possible by the brightest of lights. Yet somehow his motivations make him akin to the every man - weirdly stumbling for the mundane while unable to do anything but push it further away. Most would not want to meet Gabriel - but his is a tenacious and spine tingling presence in the mind.Amelia, on the other hand, is almost a pale copulation of the every woman. Images overlaid to provide skills, but mix into a psyche that is at once every woman and no woman. This is understandable; the reader desires to think down on Amelia - to claim they could improve on her pale act of just surviving. She is simultaneously entirely relatable and impossible to relate to; how one would act, what one would say in her place - that cannot truly be known. Throughout the book, believing in her strength is a struggle and yet easy; this conflict is only more apparent as time passes.Abel is the weakest character of the big three; likely because his development was hindered by his late appearance. It isn't that his image is weak, but his mind is less open to us, his emotions less focused and his past only a solitary story in a single conversation. Amelia needs someone stable. Amelia is weak (or strong?). Amelia is trapped within the self imposed confines placed on her by someone else. Does Abel help her break her barriers? Does Abel make her more powerful? Does Abel keep her sane? One wants to think so, yet Abel's powerful actions speak so quietly they can be read into and implied as spurred by any number of impetus. Abel is not himself to this reader; he is another facet of Amelia. He is perhaps who she wishes she could be. And that is the strongest figure one can be for a mind such as hers.I salute you, Bonny, for your bravery in putting to words what most would not even desire to put to thought. I appreciate your psychology and your pace. I hope I never read this book again, but I do know I am not the same reader now as I was when I first started it.

Dark and DELISH!
#teamgabe all day!Wow this story is extremely dark and DELISH! Gabe is a new kind of crazy! From kidnapping to torture to murder.....dude is unstoppable! So yeah he is beyond wrong kidnapping and refusing to free Amelia after her father raised the money he owed. I believe Gabe. It was too little too late. He was already obsessed with Amelia. I thought she would come come around eventually. I mean they have the horizontal tango down to perfection! NOT! How did I know there isn't a limit on crazy? Gabe scared the life out of poor Amelia! Frequently.Amelia becomes more and more frightened of Gabe especially when Kat, Gabe's new pet, enters into the crazy manor! Each negative incident with Gabe pushes Amelia closer to her bodyguard, Able. Eventually Amelia and Able cross the line (pisses me off so much) and he has to leave before Gabe goes off the deep end. Of course we haven't seen the last of ole cabbage head, Able.Able sets in motion a plan to rescue Amelia and the baby( lots of drama regarding the baby.....read the story y'all ......it's a delicious mess!). Able managed to literally chain to a tree the two men credited with ruining her life.....her father and Gabe. Payback time! Karma is a nosey nasty ole gal! Tony and Gabe are seconds from becoming filet min-dead! Or will they?????......This story is very dark and may contain triggers for sensitive readers. Please adhere to the warning before reading this story. Giving a book a low rating because you are offended by the subject matter, especially if you've totally disregarded the warning, is not fair to the author, potential readers, or current fans of the author. Be sensible and fair.Five stars for this dark and well written story!

Intriguing and easy read!
Pretty good read with dark themes and situations. Amelia was kidnapped by Gabe to pay a debt owed by her father. Gabe is a sick and twisted "hitman" who has some pretty creative ways when taking out his marks. Not as dark as I would have liked but it definitely had some twisted and disturbing moments that some may find hard to read.

A dark twisted tale of obsession an then true love
This is a dark twisted story of a man who doesn't think he can feel love until he kidnaps the daughter of the Mayor who's running for congress. The mayor still owed him a lot of money for killing a journalist that was about to release a story of his dirty little secrets. When he tells Amelia that he won't rape her but he will make her beg for him to take her.She thinks no never. But when he shows this beauty how good he can make her feel her body betrays her. There is back stabbing when secrets come to light and Amelia finds out things about her father who she used to look up too. Will the secrets destroy Amelia or will they make her more determined? There are so many twists and turns to this story you will be riveted til the very last page and leave you begging for more.I can hardly wait to see what's next by this multi talented author.
