My Pregnancy Journal with Sophie la girafe®

One of my favorites! Cute and well made
I ordered 6 different ones, including this one and:Studio Oh! Guided Pregnancy Journal, Bump for Joy!Bump to Birthday, Pregnancy & First Year Baby JournalThe Belly Book: A Nine-Month Journal for You and Your Growing BellyFrom Pea to Pumpkin: A Pregnancy Journal My Pregnancy Journal (by Lluch, Alex A.)I ended up keeping Sophie la girafe and Studio Oh! Guided Pregnancy Journal, Bump for Joy.As with everything, it all depends on what you are looking for.To me, those two work the best because there's space to write and paste pictures about us, the parents, our families, and our relationship before the baby (I think once the baby grows up he's going to love reading that!) and are very well structured but not repetitive. Some of the journals have one page per week of pregnancy with all the same questions (e.g. symptoms), and that is so boring! I also like to have some, but not too much, empty space to write. One thing the Sophie la girafe doesn't have (and I wish it had, like in Studio Oh! Guided Pregnancy Journal, Bump for Joy) is the parents family trees.

Cutesy Family Journal
I'm sure this keepsake journal will be exactly what some mothers need through their pregnancy, but it didn't fit our desires that well. The book is definitely formatted super cutesy; while the design of the book is great, we wish the content was better organized and more suited towards the baby. This book is geared toward the family (not saying it's a bad thing, we just wanted something much more heavily focused on the baby). It starts with filling out profiles for the mom and dad, how we met, and yaddy yaddy yada. It's not until maybe a third or a fourth into the book that the journal starts focusing on the baby (finally!). There is some nice content that predicts whether you will have a boy or girl, (the journal was correct in predicting our baby's gender) and cutesy envelopes attached onto the pages so that you can write a letter to your child. The rest of the journal is broken up into three trimesters. All in all, this is a great pregnancy journal focused on the family, (parents plus new baby) but if you're looking for something focused on the baby, I'd suggest a different journal. Still happy with our purchase because it'll be a wonderful keepsake to remind ourselves the experiences and memories of our first pregnancy. However, if we have another child, we will probably go with a different journal the second time.

Such a cute and comprehensive journal
This pregnancy journal is so cute! I looked at a lot of journals before I chose this. It came mostly undamaged except there was glue or something on the first page so the pages were stuck together and therefore ripped a little when pulled apart. Also there’s a calendar within and like the others said, only goes to 2019 and is not updated. It doesn’t bother me much but if we’re buying something it should be updated for the year. Otherwise, it has a decent amount of space for writing and a bunch of questions to prompt thought. There are also envelopes for little keepsakes. Overall, I’m very satisfied with my purchase.

Much higher quality than expected
Super super cute journal! It's hardcover and spiral bound inside. Bigger than I thought, definitely better quality than I had imagined. Definitely more than worth the price. Lots of pockets for keepsakes. Lots of fun extras that are not in other pregnancy journals. Helpful checklists and lots of multiple-choice-type writing prompts that get you started. It covers everything from family's reactions to the news, to how you're feeling and what you're craving, to doctor appointments, to your worries and hopes, to the baby's birth. Lots of space for pasting photos too. I will be keeping this to give to my baby when he/she grows up, and if I ever get pregnant again I want to get this exact same journal. :)

Lovely. Book had to make some adjustments
I love this journal. Wish I had it for my first. It's really cute and we'll thought out. Some bits are a bit annoying. For me I'm mixed biracial and my husband is black. In one of the sections it asked about what we think baby will look like or who they may look like. There are come pre-written options and about 3 black spaces. The options they give you are bright blue eyes like so and so. Slender nose like whoever and long blonde hair like what's his face. That was a bit annoying being as though I hate making big scribbles in my books but I just crossed it out.

Love it!!
Of all the books i have seen, this is by far one of my favs. I got one with my first child. Since then I have bought different ones for friends and family but they weren't as good as this one! Just found out i'm having another baby, so I just had to get it for baby #2!!

More for 1st time preg books
The book was cute, but seemed to be geared at 1st time preg. Lots of "where mom & dad met" "what mom and dad did before baby" pages... I gave mine to 1st time preg. (Returning things has become a pain with Amazon).

Love!!
I got this for both of my pregnancies and I love it. It's perfect for those of us that need writing prompts and covers all stages of pregnancy. I like how it makes sure to keep dad involved and asks questions about him as well. And with it being gender neutral you can buy it before knowing what you're having and it'll still be cute. I highly recommend it.

Out of date
It's out of date, section with yearly information only goes up to 2019! Not due until 2020 so useless to me!

Detailed, beautiful,
By far my favourite out of all the pregnancy books I’ve seen, so detailed lots of different sections about mam and dad which I loved, it was quite Americanised but perfect nonetheless, really loved filling this in

Beautiful
This is even more beautiful that I expected. So many lovely places to mark different stages of pregnancy even bits to complete about you and your partner. Got it for my very organised best friend and she loved it.

Too much writing.
I am 37w now and book is almost empty, wrote there in the beginning. It requires lot of writing, I'd prefer something more basic, 120 pages about pregnancy? Can be great for someone else, but I didn't have so much free time.

Good
Very good . But I wouldn't recommend it for single parents because you fill out how dad and mom or mom and mom got together etc .also I only had two scans and you can fill in three .
