Be patient, not a fast project
Rowood 3D Wooden Marble Run Puzzle Craft Toy, Gift for Adults & Teen Boys Girls, Age 14+, DIY Model Building KitThis was a Christmas gift for my 14yo son. He is quite adept at putting complicated things together. He has been doing Lego since he was about 3yo. There are a few very fiddly parts but they send a lot of extras of those parts just in case. He definitely broke a few of them. It is not a sturdy toy to be played with. Even when turning the handle to get the marble started you must be careful. It is enjoyable to make the marble go and we all have had a go at it. I would say it took him about 8 hours to complete over a number of days. He wants another one so that is a great sign since when I showed it to him because I wanted one (btw I didn't get one :( ) he turned his nose up at it. My biggest advice, take your time, be careful, if you get frustrated walk away and do it later (it will still be there) otherwise you will probably break to many parts and not be able to finish. Enjoy your building journey.

Very good model
Technically, the best examples of leverage and the lift method is great. Hats offf to the engineer on this one!

Got my 13-year olds attention away from electronics!
I did tons of research on finding a fun gift that wasn't related to electronics for my 13-year old boy and came across this. After reading great reviews, I ordered it and couldn't be happier. My son was actually excited opening this up. It's very well-made and sturdy. We're not done yet setting it up, but so far it's been fun to work on together. He can't wait to finish it and use the marble run!

Execellent!
I bought this as a gift for my son, who loves puzzles and marbles. It was one of the best birthday gifts I could ever give him. I would definitely buy this again from this seller!

It’s the quest, not the quarry ...
I don’t understand the negative reviews. It’s made of lightweight wood cutouts. If you want a non-breakable model, get some legos. My 10-year old son and I broke some pieces, so we got some small clamps from Home Depot and glued them back together. That’s how building stuff in the real world works - things break or don’t work like you expected them to, so you fix them. We glued a few pieces that made sense to glue together. It’s been a great learning experience for my son - and an exercise in patience. We spend about 30 minutes every few nights and are almost finished. I think that it’s a brilliant design and teaches patience, dexterity, problem-solving, and engineering. It’s a great way to bond with your kids.

Fun build. Marble machine actually works!
Enjoyed putting this together. Pieces pop out easily enough, with no tools required. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. And at the end, the marble machine does actually work. They say you don't need glue, but I applied wood glue anyways, to make things stay together a bit better. Always avoiding getting glue on any parts that need to move. Some of the more delicate pieces they include spares of, incase a piece breaks during assembly.Overall very pleased with the model and would recommend.

Seeking Challenging but not frustrating
Want a classroom challenge that is manageable and this looks like it will serve the purpose and be educational.... update I’m rather disappointed because I have tried to set this level on the table and the floor and to have it balanced but when ball bearings will roll into wheel gears and pick up in bucket it won’t roll down the chute and it keeps overshooting the chute after coming out of the wheel that picks the bearings up and at the outer curves opposite the turn handle. Also the turn handle will not stay on even with top piece sandwiching it onto wheel and the t’s catch the bearings and stack up on the way down. Wood is flimsy, splinters easily and doesn’t snap together well along the drop chute connecting it to the gears. ... That aside the general idea is great and it’s fun to build. And if you Can get it level the gears and all turn surprisingly well. It’s fun to watch the beads accumulate and roll back down with clicking clacking sounds.

Advanced/expert puzzle
Oh, this is an amazing puzzle, however it is not easy to assemble. Challenging - but good. The instructions are pictures only, and it is not always easy to understand. I could use some clarification on some of the instructions. The construction is very tedious and time consuming. This isn't bad, you just have to be patient and give yourself time. I've spent nearly 3 hours and almost halfway finished. Can't wait to finish and run the steel balls through.
