Converted!
Like many, we decided to change from teabags after reading so much about the plastic used to manufacture them, creating millions of micro particles in your beverage! Our kettle is BPA free and our cups are china so why would we want to drink plastic tea ??? My first concern was the mess involved with loose tea (memories of grannies teapot!) so after much research, we chose these filters. They are absolutely brilliant, and we are so glad we converted. Ok, there is a bit of mess but hey, health is more important. Just tap out the tea leaves and rinse under the tap and now and then we put them in the dishwasher. Making a brew in a teapot is actually rather satisfying, but if its just tea for one, these infusers work perfectly in a mug too. You might want to measure the opening of your teapot/mug to ensure they fit, our is Denby and it fits perfectly. A well made infuser, very fine mesh so no tea leaves in your cup. The little lid creates a good vacuum and really keeps the heat in. Very happy.

Quick easy mess-free hot tea
In-mug filters for tea have been my preferred equipment for many years as a quick simple way to have loose leaf tea for one thatās hot and mess-free (decanting from teapot or other maker involves too many cooling stages or faff to heat).Avoiding plastic, this is the best filter Iāve tried for the finest foil and easy handling with the silicone rim, and the neat fitted lid keeps the drink hot while brewing. It feels very superior to previous purchases. With standard ground coffee, it produces slightly āmuddyā liquid, but is fine for occasional convenience away from home, and would perhaps be better with a coarser grind.First filter delivered had a defective seam but the seller, House Again, responded quickly to email and replaced the item immediately. Full marks for service. The defective seam wasnāt visible without pressing on the bottom but was letting out a little of finer leaf tea and coffee. The replacement performs perfectly with completely clear tea.

Easy to use and gives a great cup of tea
So far so good! I've used it twice now, once with loose tea leaves and another with the contents of a tea bag (for comparison). No tea escapes the mesh and fits well within my awkward sized mug. Even convinced me to no longer buy tea bags as the strainer results in a slightly stronger cup of tea compared to bags. Happy with my purchase and highly recommend.

Great for Rooibos tea
Definitely fine enough for Rooibos tea. Does the job! It has spot welded side and bottom seems, so not sure how long it will last though. When hand washing it, I have to be careful as it feels like it can easily deform as the mesh is fine. Silicon is good for grip but sometimes can slip off, so would just need to pop it back on.

Superfine mesh infuser
As a fan of good tea I have a number of tea infusers from well known high street brands which for the most part did a pretty good job with most loose tea leaves but for one or two tea types some of the tea leaves would make it into the cup and spoil the last mouthful. I was therefore pleased to find a couple of infusers with extremely fine mesh from House Again, the one this review is for and another model with collapsible arms. I am happy to say they are both excellent - well made and so fine that even the smallest leaves or dust don't make it through into the cup. of the two I prefer the one with the collapsible arms as the lid is flat and makes a more stable drip tray. The one shown here is also very good, although the lid handle makes a wobbly drip tray when inverted. The infuser is quite tall so it stands slightly taller than my tallest mug which is no problem. The version with the collapsible arms is the same size.

Great purchase
I needed a very fine mesh for thai tea which is very powdery. This does the job perfectly! Very good quality and fits in my teapot perfectly.

Works brilliantly but started coming apart
Got this a couple of months ago so I could make tea without tea bags and the associated waste. It works great, easy to empty and fits in most cups and our teapot.Unfortunately, a few months later and the base has started to come apart. Itās only been through the dishwasher a couple of times, the rest of the time Iāve just rinsed it out, so Iām a bit disappointed with the durability. At the moment the base hasnāt come off completely, so itās still functional, but probably only a matter of time until a replacement will be needed.

Ingenius Design & Completely Effectiveā”
This. Is. Awesome. This is truly the nicest, finest mesh infuser I've ever seen or used. This is really an impressive product, because it's designed so well. Not a single piece of herb dust will ever enter your mug because the holes are simply too small. I tested running my faucet water into it, and the water comes dribbling out from just a small part of the bottom. It's amazing because people don't even realize it's an infuser. It appears to be a fairly solid but thin metal canister. Only when you look close or hold it up to light can you see how fine the teeny holes are.I used this infuser in my big double-wall borosilicate glass mug, which holds around 17 oz. of liquid. I doubted it would fit too well. So my eyebrows flew up when I filled the infuser with herbs and inserted it into my mug of hot water. It made a Shwooop sucking noise and literally grabbed the infuser from my hand to land safely at the bottom of the mug. It was really cool. The infuser fit so well in this huge mug that there was only a bit of space between the infuser and the opening of my mug, as you can see in my pics. It's definitely a better idea to pour hot water over the infuser once it's placed in, but I often just use a microwave shortcut to heat the water in the mug.The top is made of a sturdy black silicone with two tiny holes in it. It only sits on the infuser and does not secure. I usually use these silicone cup covers over my mugs to steep my herbal tea. When I remove the black silicone top, amazingly, it's a perfect fit so that my regular cover can be used to cover the whole open top.The only part that can be slightly annoying is the cleaning part. It's not bad, but it's enough that I often fill and use my own tea bags instead. I like herbal tea a lot for health reasons, and I would get irritated scooping out all the wet herbs with tissues all the time, as often as I drink tea.The cool part is that after you infuse and steep your tea, the infuser sits perfectly on the silicone top, which faces up. This is just an excellent product with an excellent design and good materials. I think it's absolutely fantastic and absolutely worth the buy!Update: I made natural blue dye! I infused butterfly pea flowers in vegetable glycerin, then I strained the herb using this filter. Despite all the teeny pieces of herb, nothing escaped, and all I got was vivid blue herbal dye. Amazing.

Super fine, keeps the leaves contained.
I don't like drinking bits of leaves. We had some single cup options with fine mesh, but didn't have anything for a pot of tea. Found this, and it's great!Doesn't fit perfectly in the pot we use, though that wasn't expected anyway. Keeps leaves out of most brews, sometimes leaf dust from the bottom of the container falls though š¤·āāļø nobody should be expecting it to stop dust anyway. No negative impact to the actual brewing, results are consistent with other strainers I've used.

Fantastic!
I bought this for my wife, but really it was for me! I usually make tea for her and found that for some loose teas I had to double or triple filter them to get the fine bits out. This filter has a hole size of .005" which is smaller than the typical .010", that sellers already claim is extra fine. So that's 1/2 the size or 1/4 the area. It catches everything but dust! It's extra money, but worth it for her (me!)

Appreciate several features.
Overall I am very happy with this infuser. I have had one with fine mess of similar design by RSVP for a few years. I set out to get another one for the office and no luck. RSVP seems to have designed many more infusers but discontinued the one I preferred with a simple silicon lid.So House Again came closest with extra the advantage of the extremely fine mesh. Comparing the two side by side the finer holes in House Again are clearly evident.I very much like the idea of silicone lids. Cool to touch. Do not take in smells or toxins. Clean easily and quickly. Donāt seem to wear or age much. Bright colors/designs would be nice. Black is fine. The RSVP lid remains my favorite of the two, however, because it lies fully flat and serves as stable saucer for the infuser. In contrast. the knob on top of this one potentially sets up risk of spillage if used as a retaining saucer, though it will technically balance on a flat surface and hold the infuser. Either that knob needs to have bigger diameter or go flat. Not sure why the 3 little vent holes in the silicone lid on the House Again model. Seems this potentially looses some volatiles of the infusing substance and some heat. I liked the near hermetic seal of the RSVP model.Nonetheless. House Again is excellent quality. Durable. Fits well in my cups and mugs of many sizes. No handle, but none really needed given the silicone ring w 360 degree coverage at the top for handling. In this regard itās a bit easier to hold onto than the small silicone covered steel handle on my old one; I can image that one may be harder for persons with arthritis or other hand conditions to hold. The secure feeling of the silicone ring on House Again is a wise design.Price: For quality, stylish design, function and durability, I think the price was well worth it.
