Used it to test a filtered shower head that claims to reduce chlorine. The test does show that chlorine is lower (right stick)

These are the best you can buy. I really wouldn’t trust any other brand at this point. Especially if you are compounding.

I give these four stars as they seem to be working fine, but sometimes I'm left wondering just how accurate they are. When I started to feel our water getting hard the other day I pulled out the strips to test it. The reading wasn't much different from when our softener is working as it should.

I have used many more expensive and cheaper water testing strips and so far these have been the most accurate. I started using them to check my coolant PH levels for a CNC machine at my work, then I took a few home to test my home drinking water after getting a water filtration system set up at home. They read the same levels as what the testing company did that I payed $$$ for. I definitely recommend this product.

I've been using and mis-guided for years using Leisure Time test strips. (Long story short: their strips had pads that, if they didn't come off all the time, were switched and caused heavy damage on my equipment.) I've spent some time experimenting with other types of testers as well as brands. The liquid type testing kit is undeniably a more accurate way to go but when it comes to test stripes, this kit by Hach is spot-on each time I've compared it. I use these exclusively now and use the liquid kit every other month. I've enjoyed crystal clear and perfectly balanced water in my large hot tub now for over a year. THANKS HACH!

Good for cheap testing but i prefer the chemical reagents over the strips i think.

I only bought these strips because I wanted to know if my water faucet filter does the promised job of removing the smell and taste of chlorine from the municipal water. I am happy to report that both the free chlorine and the total chlorine registered zero. Other than that, I cannot say more about the other uses of the strips.
