Take your lysine 500 to1000 mg per day and use this if you have a flare up. I get flare ups on my lips and chin area from extreme stress, too much sun on my face, or eating nuts, peas, peaches, or oats. This balm is amazing. Rub some on several times throughout the day and keep some on your nightstand for night. Start as soon as you feel the tingle or a little bump under the skin. Works like a charm but definitely recommend checking the expiration dates when receiving the package. My fault on this order, but I ordered this product in May of 2024 thinking I needed it right away, but I didn’t and someone I know wanted to try it out since I have a new one and I finally saw (Feb 2025) what the expiration date to be 12/22. Totally caught me off guard, will definitely be checking more thoroughly every time now since I didn’t get to check until now and it’s already way too late to return or dispute it. Just a heads up to check the exp dates! The product itself is great! Works fast and makes cold sores go away fast.

All of us get cracked crusty lips from time to time. Well my lips were dryer than beef jerky. Splitting all over the place and in the corners that hurt pretty bad. I was hoping this would ease up the pain and it did. I lived for this and it kept me from going crazy. It has a numbing effect that let me tell you I loved. Thank goodness for this stuff.

Best cold sore prevention product ever! I have been using this lip balm with sunscreen for about ten years. I used to get cold sores from the sun, but not anymore. It has saved me so much grief over the years that I am never without it.

I think it works well. However, why i gave three star because the stick is so weak. After you use it a couple time, it begin to fall apart.
