Twelve South BaseLift for MacBook | Integrated Laptop Stand and Lap Pad for MacBook

This is a very nice item and I am SO GLAD I found it during the last chunk of writing my dissertation. I do not use my laptop now without propping it up and it has made a huge difference. The quality of this item is great, the look of this item is great. It does add bulk to the bottom of your laptop, this will make it more snug in your bag. I have an Air and I am all about keeping things light and thin, but this is worth the extra bulk (bulk is a strong word for this). The item shows no signs of wear or dirt after pretty constant use for about 6 or so months now and I think it will outlast my time with this computer. I also ordered the matching red wristpad and the two look really nice together. Many have seen the baselift and asked me where I got it. One reviewer mentioned the computer being unstable when not lifted and I know what he means. I have found that since I installed this, if I don't have the base lifted, the computer has a bit of a wobble backwards. They include extra strips to counter this, I wish I would have installed mine at the back edge of the computer - I think this would have prevented this. Of course, I got this item because I want to use it, so it isn't an issue, but where you install the extra strip does matter.

I couldn't love this thing more! I got this here because it was a better price and I needed 2 day shipping before I deployed. This works great, and I have received many compliments from other MacBook users. They will all want one too.If you are worried about sticking something to your MacBook Pro, don't worry, you can remove it without leaving any indications that it was there.

Hands down the best laptop base I've ever had.I used to think that distinction belonged to an ancient and since discontinued Targus stand, but this one handily beats that. It's easy to fit on, stays on reliably once fitted, looks classy and is simple to fold out and use either on a table or on one's lap. Because it's fitted it's always available and it's slim enough to not be any hindrance when slipping the laptop into a sleeve or bag. Because it folds out simply, it provides additional lift and cushioning.

Great fix for my hot lap and loud fans on my 2014 Macbook Pro. Great angle for typing for prolonged periods. The inch or so that this thing lifts my computer has made a world of difference.

I LOVE THIS THING. I use it all the time. I was iffy on purchasing it because it would make my laptop thicker... and I love how thin and light it is.But this was absolutely worth it. You can set it down, casually, on a hard surface without damage to the computer because it has a protection buffer. Feels much better to type as well, and show movies and videos to a group of people. When I get a new computer, THIS will be the first thing I purchase.

Super functional stand. Great for road warriors or anyone who finds themselves working in coffee shops. When the stand is not deployed, it creates a nice non-slip surface for using your laptop on your lap.I have a MacBook Pro 13 with touch bar, and I recommend not using the 'extender' piece and mounting the BaseLift closer to the back of the computer than the instructions indicate.

Works well on the 2017 15" macbook pro -- I was having horrible hand pain for without elevating my laptop a little bit and this made doing so easy.

Works as described. I have a 2017 MBP and haven't had any issues. Due to the curvature of the bottom of the laptop, there is a very thin strip where the adhesive did not stick to the front of the body but it hasn't caused any issues in a couple of months of daily use. I would gladly buy another when upgrading my computer. The difference it made while sitting with the computer on my lap was well worth the price.
