Excellent and versatile TV for a very good price
Great television. Been using it primarily as a PC monitor @1920x1080, and the picture is still amazing. I use most of the built-in apps as well, and they're all perfectly functional. Recently started using the built-in media player with an external hard drive to eliminate the PC, and it works great. Recognises all my files, scales them appropriately and even adds subtitles, which still baffles me as I've no idea if it's the TV or some elusive file somewhere on my drive. Either way, I love the TV. Audio and visual quality are both exceptional.

Picture is stunning and so is the design
Glad I picked this tv. The picture is perfect and the interface is very easy and intuitive to use. I mainly use the YouTube and amazon prime video apps and they work well. I've watched 4k videos on both apps without issue and it's a nice experience. Aesthetically the TV looks great. The stand is solid and heavy, so the TV isn't going anywhere once in place. I bought this to replace a 40" TV that was damaged and its surprisingly no larger than the old TV despite having a 3" larger screen. I guess that's down to the clever design of the TV itself. One negative I will mention about the TV is that it was a little tricky to set up with my soundbar and sub. The problem was that my tv's speakers would still provide audio as well as the soundbar. It seems a little odd but after exhausting ever option in the sound menu of the TV, I resorted to plugging a 3.5mm jack into the headphone socket. That stops the tv's speakers so that I can only hear my soundbar and volume can still be controlled using the TV remote. Weird issue to have. I feel like I must have missed something in the settings, but it's worth mentioning all the same.

Nice Smart TV @ a good price
We bought this TV to replace an old Sony, it's out first Smart TV so I can't compare it to other Smart TVs. The set up was straight forward so no problems there, it was easy to tune in the stations and connect to Wi-Fi. Picture quality seems fine to me, remote layout is fine. The only little buggy issue is the TV Guide, the software gets stuck so to speak...sometimes there is a lag in scrolling with the remote and what happens on the TV....it lasts a few seconds then it seems to work fine. Also I needed to retune the stations via the D.Aerial method, there was an option to clear the list and start again which I did but auto re-retuning via the settings didn't find any stations. I tried several times and nothing. I had to go through the First Time setup again which meant I had to log into all the apps again but the auto tuning worked via this method. I'm not sure if this is a software bug or not but thought it was worth mentioning.Comes with iPlayer, ITV, More 4 , Netflix, Youtube and some other apps by default which is fine for what we need. All in all we are satisfied with the TV29/11/2022 UPDATEThe TV is DOA, the LED strips are burned out and the TV is only 3 years old. We have sound but no picture. In the region of £150 to fix so not worth it. The technician I spoke to said this was not uncommon on Toshiba and Hitachi TVs so buyer beware. No more Toshiba for me!

Just taken delivery of this tv. I see a lot of negative reviews but I’ve had toshiba before and have always been impressed. This is a fantastic tv for the price. Literally so easy to set up . Picture quality is mind blowing . Sound is rich and immersive. Was contemplating a sound bar, don’t need one now!Netflix and prime tv so easy to set up and in 4K what an experience. Even free view play is availableI’m so pleased I stuck with toshiba and I highly recommend this . For me best value for money

‘No signal’ ruining this good TV
Update 23/3/20 an update (from Toshiba?) was provided to the TV but STILL continues to freeze with message ‘No signal’. This message locks down the TV for 3 minutes. It is really frustrating. Only remedy so far is to turn off TV for a few minutes and hope it works when it powers on (my advice is turn on anything with a HDMI e.g. NowTV box, ps4 as the TV should pick up something).Update 20/3/20 Simply CANNOT connect TV to internet via wireless despite being 2 feet away so have bought a LAN adapter and cable to make Netflix and other online things work. Still crashes and has the ‘No signal’ message.FIRST REVIEW: The tv is cheap but the speaker is not very good. The treble sounds hissy. After 2 days the tv froze with the no signal sign so I had to turn off at mains. I thought it was the remote batteries but no it was the tv. Smart features are good apart from I can’t log in to Netflix. I like the recording facility (you’ll need a usb drive) and freeview play works quite well. The picture is good and my PS4 plays well with no artifacts. I’d like some quick access controls to boost the picture like Samsung offer (football mode) and also sound which seems really shut in. It could be the tv would benefit most from a sound bar. At the price the tv is not perfect but for occasional tv use and a lot of PS4 (1080p) it is decent.

Not a bad smart tv and certainly worth the money
No complaints so far from the gift recipient. Good picture and sound. Smart features were Netflix and the amazon apps. Google and youtube as you expect. No problems but will update if it all goes wrong

Good for the money
Ok, i have been waiting to give this t.v a good test. Had a few issues with the sound disappearing when i used bluetooth earbuds, but when i restarted the t.v - it came back. When i fast foward programs though the mouth sync is off and if you try and change the ms delay in sounds more than 2 or 3 times you end up having to reset the t.v again! The remote is nice and compact and very easy to go through the menu. One thing that is annoying me at the moment is when i turn the t.v off, after 5 or so minutes it tries to turn back on and stays in a semi grey screened state. I havent solved that yet. But, for the cost i would say overall i am fairly happy.
