Great buy!
Very nice! This umbrella is stylish, lightweight, and very stylish. I bought it for a 6'5" tall friend who needed a larger umbrella to protect him from out frequent temperate rain forest downpours. It llks good, works well, and the attention to detail is a step above.

Beautiful umbrella
I love this umbrella. I bought it for two reasons. 1- to keep me dry when it rains and 2- to look pretty in my bamboo hall tree. It's lightweight and a beautiful blue color, it opens and closes so easily, two people can stay dry under it and no one walks off with it because it's not black. I also love the wooden handle- this is a very classy umbrella.

Seems fine, but 48" measurement is misleading
I received this umbrella in the mail this morning and it seems fine - open action is quick and precise, it's firm but not overly resistant to closing, and it's generally pleasant to look at. I have no doubt that it meets with any reasonable definition of a functioning umbrella. My only complaint is that I am disappointed in how much of me is actually covered by the canopy of the umbrella. The description states that it's 48 inches so, naturally, when I was browsing Amazon for umbrellas last week, I took out my tape measurer and measured out 48 inches on the floor. I stood in the middle of it. Seemed fine. Clicked the order button. When it arrived this morning, however, I opened it up and stood underneath it, and was surprised at how little distance there was between me and the would-be rain. I measured its breadth - 42 inches at its widest point. I quickly realized that the 48-inch figure was derived from measuring the umbrella when it was *closed*.This is bothersome for two reasons, one of which is theoretical and the other practical. First, the utility of an umbrella (i.e. keeping its owner dry) is largely unrelated to its length when closed. That has some bearing on the annoyance of carrying it around, yes, but it doesn't go to the main purpose of owning and using an umbrella (i.e. to stay dry). For that reason, it seems misleading to market an umbrella based on figures that bear little relation to its usefulness with no accompanying description explaining what that measurement is literally measuring. It naturally leads to reasonable mistakes, such as I have made. Second, the practical effect of an umbrella being six inches smaller than advertised is that a buyer is going to get three inches more water than he or she bargained for on either side. The cheap folding umbrella that I bought this to replace had a similar issue - when I walked, the front half of my shoes would get wet. By the end of a 10-minute walk to the subway, the rain has soaked through. My new umbrella will alleviate that problem only part of the way, and I will still have to take smaller steps than I take in my natural stride.TL;DR - The umbrella is 42 inches across when open, not 48, and I should have exercised the nuclear option and bought a golf umbrella. But, owing to laziness, I'll just be keeping this one.

Great for now!
I use this everyday on rainy walks. The look and feel of the handle is perfect. The colors are sleek.I haven't tried it yet on a windy stormy day, but for my particular uses I have enjoyed it.One thing I would change is that the clasp should have direction as to where it's supposed to clip into. Sometimes I have a little trouble getting it to close.Size is large enough for 1 person comfortably.

Surprisingly good quality and build
The build quality is surprisingly nice, it seems like it provides good sun protection and definitely more wind resistance than a small baby umbrella, since the arms of the umbrella have strong springs in them. I would probably be concerned about long term use of the wooden handle going up and down the shaft of the umbrella, but I just received it so we’ll see. It is very easy to use with one click of a button to open the umbrella, the people that complain about the umbrella being hard to close are just being weak because it’s really easy to close. The weight of the umbrella isn’t that heavy at all but obviously it’s a larger umbrella so it’s not easily transportable like a mini umbrella but it looks very classy and can easily fit two people (me and my girlfriend who are about 110lbs and I am 140lbs) and we could probably fit our backpacks too and not get wet from the rain.
