2011 release, the first album in five years from the Finnish rockers. Apart from their unique sound, the band is best known for their Rock 'n' Roll versions of popular songs, their exaggerated pompadour hairstyles and long, pointy shoes.

Who are these people, and what have they done with the real Leningrad Cowboys?
Leningrad Cowboys go Euro-Metal.I've been a Leningrad Cowboys fan since the original Aki Kaurismäki movie. I was at both of the Leningrad Cowboys/Red Army Ensemble concerts in Cathedral Square in Helsinki (1993-2003). This album just doesn't sound like them. They seem to have moved toward the style of metal that has become popular in Finland. The title track has some clever lyrics, but the old harmonies are missing. If you're looking for some kind of crossover album between pop-metal and the Leningrad Cowboys, this is it, but if you love the old Leningrad Cowboys, it's a waste of time.

Enough already.
It just gets worse..! Well, this is not as bad as "Zombie's Paradise" but the joke has worn thin and although it's fun to listen to a melding of styles.. (sometimes within the same song. Metal meets mariachi in "I Kill The Dog").. this cd is a big let-down. "Gimme Your Sushi" is sunshine pop (check the amusing clip on Youtube) but that being said.. this stuff gets tiresome very quickly.Nice packaging. Artwork that would lead one to thinking the music was a 'Cuban Tiki Bar Goes Tundra' experiment.. not so. The digi-pak contains a booklet with pics of the guys and bogus drink recipes that can be quite funny depending on your state of mind. After listening to this mediocrity you may want to mix yourself a tall cool one but I'm betting you'll be reaching for the asprin instead. I'm sorry I bought it.

Latest from those wacky Finns!
More great tracks form this classic Finnish group - This album sees a new lead singer and a subtle shift in style to a mix of pop, hair metal, and mariachi - if your familar with the group, or just love weird music, check them out!
