Double Canopy Umbrella (68")

Updated: September 28, 2015Returned the Clicgear Double Canopy Umbrella and the Umbrella Angle Adjuster.While using the Clicgear Double Canopy Umbrella, I opted to use the umbrella holder that came standard with the Clicgear 3.5 golf cart and was disappointed that if you change the height of the golf cart handle you will need to deal with the orientation of the umbrella unless you use the Clicgear Umbrella Angle Adjuster at $29.95 (which I reviewed and recommended that this become the standard umbrella holder). You can review my pics on the orientation of umbrella (forward) when the handle is set high (my preferred position) and level when set lower. On the day these pics were taken the Clicgear double canopy umbrella was tilted forward and got a tail wind (10 - 20 mph that day) and golf cart toppled over (brake was set), hence the double canopy (venting) did not work as I expected. Then going into the headwind, pushing the cart a bit more tiring. I did reduce the overall wind effect (headwind and tailwind) by having umbrella set level which was done by lowering the handle but that was not the desired position to push the cart. Soooo...the best option would be to purchase the Angle Adjuster however, the reliability and durability of the Angle Adjuster in my opinion is questionable).  Clicgear Umbrella Angle Adjuster Original Review:Works well with Cliicgear 3.5 umbrella holder, however I would recommend a more durable bungee holder to cinch umbrella down so it will not wiggle loose under windy conditions. Made up a couple of 9", 3/16" bungee cords with hook clips that help cinch down handle into umbrella holder.These bungee cords we made using hooks found on Amazon and bungee cord at local marine supply store. The hooks were specified for 1/4" but the 3/16" (which I preferred) locked in well. You can use 1/4" bungee, just be aware that you will need to really compress the tabs (you could use needle nose pliers) and then slide the collar down. These hooks have clips which I cut off as it made it difficult to hook together you can buy hooks with and without clips.

I purchased this to go with my ClicGear Golf cart.Pros:1. Long enough so it won't block your vision/clubs when in use.2. Canopy openings are larger than similar umbrellas allowing for better air circulation and less chance of inversion.3. Fits perfectly with ClicGear umbrella holder, reducing vibration/swaying.4. Price is reasonable compared to other similar umbrellas.5. Appears to be well madeCons:1: No collar to hold umbrella spokes when close2: No snap or velcro to secure umbrella cover3: Red/Black umbrella gives a slight red tinge when in use...the other colors are fully lined in black.4. Could close/fold up a little easier and cleanerConclusion:So far, I would recommend this umbrella if you are using ClicGear products. How well it fits in other holder is unknown. The Pros outweigh the minor Cons.

When I first received this Umbrella, I was very excited to use it during the hot golf days in the summer. I was very disappointed when I opened it for the first time that one of the stretcher was broken off from the rib dangling from the runner. I returned it to amazon and I got a new one back right away. After few rounds of use, to my dismay, it broke again in the same place - Can we say structural/material and design flaw? I'm now using my old TigerWoods double canopy umbrella with worn out ferrule and homemade bottom spring - I bought this umbrella 12 years ago. Extremely disappointed.

Umbrella provides good shade and is easy to open/close. Unfortunately, the mechanism that keeps the umbrella in the open position (a push in/push out plastic piece) has terrible durability. I used this umbrella maybe 3 times last season. Now that summer has started I went to open my umbrella and discover this plastic piece completely snapped off. Clickgear has stated they will replace my umbrella but going on a few weeks waiting now as they are all unavailable. Will be going with another brand the weather has now hit triple digits.

I love every thing about this umbrella but the thickness of the shaft. This is my second umberella after the first snapped in a very light wind. I thought at first it might have been damaged in shipping but after reading some of the reviews it might be a design flaw.Pros:-Love the reflective top. I love in Oklahoma and the sun can be intense!-Love the arch of the umbrella. I'm 6'2" and this gives me enough room to walk under with worry of head hitting. Had to order adjustable umbrella bracket.-Love overall width and coverage of umbrella.-Doesnt seem too heavy-Fits nice in tight in handle holder.Negatives:-Shaft seems to flimsy to hold up to medium winds. Haven't had a good test since last broke.

Wide and sturdy, provides full coverage of my husband's clubs when mounted on his Clicgear 3.0 pushcart. It leaves plenty of room to keep his entire body out of the rain. When paired with the Clicgear Push Cart Umbrella Angle Adjuster Mount, it provides the perfect umbrella height for him. Made of quality material that to stand up to the elements. It opens easily and the skeleton is solid and sturdy. The canopy is vented to let hot air out during summer rounds. When I asked him if he'd buy it again, he said probably not, but only because he doesn't think it will ever break. Can't say that about many umbrellas.

From the beginning the latch to close the umbrella seemed flimsy and was difficult to use.Third time out, not even a very windy day. One small gust of wind and the umbrella turned inside out then fell apart. My playing partner was standing right next to me at the time with a Sun Mountain umbrella and the wind did not affect it at all. Here is the picture of how it looked after the wind. Shortly after that all of the ribs just fell to the ground. Was almost funny. I was right at the end of the return period and was able to return it for refund.

Big, strong and bold coloured umbrella. Was a little disappointed with the handle as I expected a soft grip but it’s moulded plastic and the umbrella is quite heavy. Expected the fit into the Clickgear holder on the trolley to be tighter also.

It's a fantastic brolly fits perfectly into the Clicgear holder. Also it is quite a bit taler/bigger than all the other golfing standard mens brollies. I am not sure how much UV protection it will provide but as a brolly so far so good!!

This umbrella fits perfectly into Clicgear cart umbrella holder unfortunately on first outing spoke broke and material ripped. Not good value for £30 so must be returned.

ce parapluie de grande taille est utilisé comme parasol sur un champs de tir. il est maintenu debout au sol avec des tieraps sur une tige de métal enfoncé dans le sol . un bon dimanche le vent c'est levé et soudainement une violente rafale l'a littéralement arraché du piquet de métal et je l'ai vu s'envoler très haut (env l'équivalent 5 a 6 étage de haut )pour ensuite toucher sol 120 mètres plus a l’arrière et rouler sur un autre 100 mètres pour finir dans un profond faussé quand j'ai pu le récupérer quel ne fut pas ma surprise de constater qu il était intact aucun dommage incroyable
