Forget Box Cutters to Tear Down Cardboard Boxes, Use the Canary Cutter!!
Cuts through cardboard like...well...a butter knife though its namesake! It's safer than a box cutter. It takes less effort than a box cutter and it's easier to use than a box cutter. However, recently, I had a bunch of boxes to get through. Some were quite large. I bought a DEWALT ATOMIC 20V MAX* Reciprocating Saw, One-Handed, Cordless, Tool for these & it worked like I expected it to and as its name implies, it was easily used one-handed! But I needed the saw for other tasks, so although overkill for most boxes, for the numbers I had, it was very handy. However, whenever I have only a few boxes that aren't significantly thick or large, I use the Canary Cutter! Compared to the DEWALT Saw, for the its function and price, the Canary cutter can't be beat!!

Very noice!!!
Works as it should. I use it in conjunction with a rotary blade cutter to cut boxes. The blade cuts through carboard with no problem. The blade serrations appear to handle cardboard without any problem and may last for a while. Considering the price and its functionality, I deem this to be a win. Go ahead, buy a few and happy recycling!

Wonderful blade
I have purchased several of these, I lost the first and others were purchased as a replacement and also in other places they were needed. I have since found the lost one so I have plenty of them now. The are wonderful for carving up cardboard just as they are designed and that's primarily how I use it. I did discover another use that I had a need for something and that is a letter opener, I have to be gentle so it doesn't destroy the envelope but using it to cut open the envelope works wonderfully

Very effective
Sometimes going back to basics is just the way to go, a few months ago I received a chargeable box cutter as a gift, and while I appreciated it, I have to say that this little knife is way more effective and faster at cutting my amazon boxes into smaller pieces, even the reinforced cardboard ones, are a piece of cake with this thing.

Does what it promises
This cuts "cardboard" (actually corrugated board) much better than expected. It also cleanly cuts plastic foam like that used in swimming pool "noodles".

great for double and single thickness not great for 1 inch thick cardboard
works as expected

Buy it
You wouldn't think this small and insignificant looking thing would change your life, but it will. You'll still need a traditional box cutter to make certain cuts, but this tool is fantastic because you have so much more control in making large cuts without worrying about losing grip and it cuts smoothly and not wobbly like a smaller blade. Don't hesitate, buy it.

Easiest way to open a cardboard box
Opens boxes easily without the danger of a sharp edge. In fact, it works better, because you can safely saw through the cardboard more effortlessly than cutting it.
