You can actually see ALL of the letters and numbers when backlit!
I love mechanical keyboards with "Blue" switches. Over the past several years I have tried four different keyboards with Cherry blue switches that were backlit. Of course, the Cherry switches were fine, but none of the keyboards exhibited uniform brightness of every key on the keyboard. This Z-88 keyboard doesn't use authentic "Cherry" switches, but the ones that it does use are excellent. I originally purchased one of these keyboards for use with my digital audio workstation, that I don't do a lot of prose-like typing on. It was compact and priced well for that application. At the time I had a Rosewill mechanical keyboard (with Cherry switches) attached to the computer on which I do most of my writing. What I began to notice was the back lighting on the Z-88 was far superior to the Rosewill. I purchased another and replaced the Rosewill with it. I'm not a "touch-typist" so I really need to see the keys. I have been delighted with this Z-88 keyboard since I made the switch. As a plus, there is more room for the mouse on my desk drawer. This is a great keyboard if you want that "blue-switch" feel and want to see every character on every key in the dark.

Very cute and works great for nongamer
I don’t play games. I bought this for doing work. It is a tad loud, but that’s how this type of keyboard is. It looks cute with some different colored keys. Also, i set it to the setting where the keys only light up when pressed. It is pretty cool. I have used it for more than a couple weeks and so far so good.

Good for $30 bucks
I use this keyboard to browse, occasionally do homework, and game. The blue switches are tactile, this means pressing down half way will trigger a click, which is loud but satisfying, if you don’t like tactile switches this product isn’t for you. I don’t like how typing makes the body of the keyboard ping, but its only somewhat noticeable because of the clicks. The functions on the leds are okay, and I stick with the normal mode. The stands works well and theres little sliding on the keyboard. Overall, a hot swappable blue switch keyboard for $30 is a good price and I got what I paid for, so I would recommend buying if you’re on a budget.

It's LOUD but great
Excellent keyboard for the price. Plug and play great response time for gaming. Have had it for awhile now. And was looking at buying something more quiet. But since I game with headphones, going to hold off till this beast dies. Excellent keyboard.

Great for everyday use
I did not purchase this for gaming, but for everyday use. I have my laptop up on a stand for video conferencing, which makes that keyboard inaccessible for typing. I wanted a secondary keyboard with the satisfying clicking sound while I type, and this one is perfect. The lights under the keys are a calming shade of blue. I can't speak to the gaming aspect, but for daily typing, this keyboard fits my needs.
