I usually don’t do reviews, but if I could give this item a 9 1/2, I would!!Rio jerked my arm a couple of weeks ago because a skink ran in front of us. Normally, I’m on high alert to watch for things that may trigger him. It hurt my arm enough that I have not been walking him because it’s just not normal to walk with him on my left hand.Today was one of our best walks and the three years since we’ve had Rio. The two elastics are strong and it gives him a notice that he is pulling. It lets me know when he stops so I don’t jerk.I kept the belt loose enough around my waist that it would turn if he crossed over.I would highly recommend it for a dog that pulls.I was concerned about him, pulling me down, but my 130 pound center of gravity overrode his 80 pounds.At no time did I feel like I was gonna get pulled down.

Echoing a sentiment I read in another review, wondering why I waited so long to do this because this might be the best dog walking experience ever. Our dog is prone to pulling and I was a little concerned that this might not work out for us, but one walk in and I am a true believer. Super easy to figure out right out of the package, Belt is adjustable if you need, though I was able just to put it right on. Someone mentioned that it's the leash tends to get caught under its dog's paws. However I did not have that issue. Normally that happened with my other leashes, I have not found that to be a problem with this one. The handles are nice and large enough to put your wrist through if you prefer to not hold it in your hand. Overall solid product. Grateful that I finally bit the bullet and bought one.

Best. Purchase. Ever. I have 2 large dogs- an 85 lb pit mix and a 75 lb lab mix. They are high energy. The pit mix (Hamlet) is leash aggressive. I got where I dreaded walking him bc of the constant pulling, even with harnesses. I’ve tried training many times. It would be going great until he saw a person, squirrel, or cat. The he would lunge. It destroyed my back to the point that I just stopped walking him. But I felt terrible about it bc he deserves to go on walks without me hating it or cutting it short bc my back hurt too badly. This leash was a life changer. On the first walk he saw a cat and attempted to lunge but all I had to do was plant my feet and my weight plus the bungee in the leash stopped him cold. After a couple of minutes he figured out that the old way wasnt going to work. I had a pain and incident free walk with him for the first time in years. I also love the attachable waist pouch for my phone, keys, poop bags, or treats. Walking hands free felt so freeing. I used to scan constantly for his triggers and then wrap the leash around my wrist multiple times out of fear he would drag me down, which he has done (luckily it was worth it that time bc it was when a man approached me and didn’t stop, even when I shouted “not friendly”. I felt amazing, and best of all, safe. I know he could sense the change in my energy. Please buy this if you struggle with a difficult to walk dog like I do.

I appreciate the amount of stretch in the leash. Its length is just right and keeps my dog right where I want him to be.There is one annoyance with the leash, however. There are a couple of anchor points to connect the leash on the belt portion that wraps around your waist. One of the anchor points is sewn next to the belt’s clip. So, unless you attach the leash to that specific anchor point, the little plastic anchor flops back and forth against the belt’s clip and makes an annoying clicking noise.Otherwise, the leash is comfortable to wear and I appreciate the little pouch that comes with it, making it easy to carry a phone/waste bag/etc.

This leash has been indispensable as I resumed walking my dog following shoulder surgery. After I was released from the huge abductor sling and needed to resume walking her, I was admittedly anxious. This leash has made all the difference because I feel so much more secure. It's very sturdily constructed and easily adjustable from winter coat to summer t-shirt. There are two padded handles that are very comfortable to hold, a fixed ring on one end and a sliding one on the other, and the bungee stretches just enough that if she decides to bolt after that irresistible chipmunk, there is just the right amount of give. I've retired our traditional leash and will use this exclusively from now on. Highly recommended.

Obsessed with this leash! I do not know why it ever took me this long to purchase this product! I love the hands free, no pulling and the thickness of the leash. Yes, it may be a little bulky for storage ~ but it is one of the best leash I have ever owned and I love how it doesn’t choke my dog. The pup still has enough length to sniff and smell! The value of this leash is worth every penny! and…the color is gorgeous!

Fantastic Product! I got it mainly because I wanted to walk with a stroller and walk my dog at the same time. My friend suggested something like this! It’s fantastic! She’s only 57 pounds but I got the 120 pound version due to her being a strong puller. The issue I had was being plus size it took away from the leash itself to get it to fit around my waist. But if you are smaller it gives a lot of room! So a leash extender might be needed! But all around it was great and it didn’t even feel like she was pulling me! 5 stars!

I fell using an extendable leash with my dog, right after we adopted him, I dropped the leash and luckily he didn't run far. This solves the problem that if I trip and fall he's not getting loose.If I I want to give him more freedom I just use the belt part and you can fasten the extendable leash through it and it works just fine, but then it's only secured by the buckle and not the 2 metal fasteners like it's intended.
