One of the best investments I’ve made
I got this like 2-3 years ago and wanted to report back. I can’t stress how useful it is to have a food scale if you’re in a calorie deficit. It’s not necessary, but it’s also a really handy way to keep track of what you’re eating to stay within your goals. Also this tiny scale has been through hell and back and still surprisingly works lol. I plan on getting a larger scale soon, but don’t plan on getting rid of this one anytime soon

Fine but lacks precision.
This is fine, for the price it's fine. If you need to be EXACT or precise within +/- 3 grams then get something higher-end with better calibration. I use this to measure for baking sourdough and maintaining my starter and it's fine but not great. At 1-3g of precision the reading jumps around. For example, I add 30g to my starter and when I get to 27 it could jump straight to 30. Or I could inch it up to 29 slowly slowly and then have it jump to 31, or 32. If I remove the container and put it back on the scale the reading can vary by up to 3g. I find this annoying but not enough to buy something more expensive. For the price, it's fine for me.

Works great, no problems with not staying at zero, no issues with accuracy
I'm extremely meticulous about tracking my calories on a daily basis. Everything that goes into my body that has calories gets entered into an excel sheet that adds everything up and tracks and graphs calories eaten v. weight v. calculated realized total daily calorie expenditure day-by-day over time. Before I got this scale, an annoying issue I had was how rough some of the numbers I was putting in were. It probably didn't matter much as long as errors were at least more or less consistent over time, but it was always a pain and seemed like it was partly defeating the purpose to, say, pick up a banana and then try to decide whether it belonged in the small, medium, or large category. I also noticed that for some products, the volume serving size listed on the nutrition label compared to the weight numbers weren't even close. I have no idea how Kellogg's is measuring cups, but I always noticed that the cups per package they claim is far from being correct, and I can now confirm after using this scale that the grams they are claiming per cup is not even in the ballpark for any cup I've ever poured in a measuring cup. I eat cereal regularly enough that having the calories/protein/carbs numbers be wrong by like 50% with every bowl matters, so this scale really helps with accuracy there and I'm sure for many other products as well. Now that I have this scale, tracking calories is a lot easier, and I feel more confident that it's also a lot more accurate. Drop a banana on the scale, get the number of grams, enter grams on my spreadsheet. Put a bowl on the scale, press the reset button that puts it back to zero, pour cereal, and count the grams. They even have an option to weigh fluid ounces of milk, so I don't need to use a measuring cup with my coffee anymore. Just put the cup on the scale, set it to milk ounces, pour the milk, and read off the number.I've had no problems some other reviewers have had with the scale not staying at zero. When I turn it on, it's always at zero. When I put a dish on it and press "tare," it always resets to zero as expected. There were no plastic tabs that needed to be removed from anywhere on the unit before using it, which some reviewers have said they had a problem with. I don't know if they updated the model or what, but the one I got was just about ready to go out of the box, just had to pull out the plastic protector strip from the battery compartment, which took two seconds.

The best kitchen scale I've ever owned
I've had this scale for nearly two years. A kitchen scale gets heavy usage since I use it at least twice a day, every day to weigh ingredients for dog meals. I also ship small packages on a daily basis and this one is accurate enough to verify weight for proper postage printing. This one is holding up perfectly well. The good:It's very accurate when verified with my set of test weights. It weighs to the tenth of a gram, not just the nearest gram.It uses two cheap and simple AAA batteries rather than expensive button cell batteries like CR2032.It offers plenty of warning before batteries need changing because the backlight in the display starts dimming out. Eventually the blue light is completely gone but the display itself is perfectly well legible.Plenty big and stable.Nice stainless steel tray that's very easy to wipe clean. The bad:This isn't so bad at all. The switches have no membrane covers to eventually lose their integrity and peel. Consequently, dust and powder can fall in the perimeter of switches and bind them. The power/tare switch isn't a problem at all since it gets such heavy usage. The units switch is rarely used so it requires some careful wiping a few times a year. I avoid spilling liquids on the switches but when it happens it only requires a quick wipe.I highly recommend this scale. It's the best one ever and I've been using kitchen scales in this way for more than 15 years.

Amazing kitchen scale, crazy good for the price
I had the cheaper Etekcity and didn't love it, primarily because it holds the measurement/tare for about 10 seconds then you have to do everything over again. 10 seconds might be an exaggeration, but it really was a pain to use. Wasn't fired up about getting the same brand again, but I wanted one that I could still see the display with a big bowl on top of it, and also wanted the 0.1g feature. This scale had what I wanted and was a fraction of the price of others. And it said that it holds measurements for 2 minutes. So I held my breath about the latter thing and bought it because it was too good a deal to pass up.And you know what? They were right on about the 2 minute thing. I could not be happier with this scale, I use it every day and its a joy to use.
