It works
Compared to the rip-off price my dealership wanted ($500+ for fob and programming) I have a new working key fob for the price of this item and another $105 at a local used car dealer to do the programming. (A local locksmith, who does not handle this, referred me to the folks who could.) The only thing you miss out on is the Nissan symbol on the fob which houses some coding that will help you start the car with a dead battery. So I’m keeping the old fob in my Leaf to handle that if it ever comes up again. Perhaps I could move the innards of the new fob into the old one and have everything exactly as before but I am in the “leave well enough alone” camp just now.

Actually worked
I was very skeptical purchasing an after market key fob. Found a lock smith that was able to program it successfully and it works! Note: If considering purchasing one find a locksmith first and ask if they can program for your vehicle, then cut the physical key. I contacted several locksmiths that did not program for my brand of car. The dealership wanted hundreds of dollars. Also- before ordering find the FCC number inside your existing factory made key fob (number is stamped real small in area where you remove the key itself from the fob) and order one that is made for that FCC number, otherwise the fob may not be programable for your car. Overall - I am very happy.

Doesn't seem to work fully.
I was finally able to get my car to the dealer to program the new Key Fob and it works for unlocking/locking the doors, but it will not transmit the signal to the ignition like my original. So every time I get in the car it states key not detected and you have to touch it to the start button to get he error to go away. And of course this happened a few days after the return window closed!

IT WORKS
Nissan was going to charge me over $450 for a new fob and programming, but I bought this fob and IT WORKED. I bought the fob for my 2012 Nissan Juke and made sure the model number etc. matched, and made an appointment with my dealership. I was told over the phone, and in person, there was a 50/50 shot they can program it. Well, they could program it!!! I was so skeptical but took a leap of faith and I'm so glad I did.

product was a great price,but
Had it programmed by a locksmith. Worked great for 2 months. The when on a trip I stopped to get lunch in a small town and my car wouldn't start. Turns out the anti theft locked it from starting. Cost me over $500 for a Nissan key just because it wasn't registered with Nissan. Same key but unless it's registered, if you start hearing beeps, it's going to strand you on anti theft.

Did not work for keyless entry on 2012 Nissan leaf
I was able to program this using a Nissan 2, however it does not work with the transponder. To unlock the car I need to use the manual key, and to start the car I needed to hold the fob directly up to the start button. It works well for a spare key but it is not great as a primary key for this particular vehicle. It may work well for another Nissan vehicle.
