Excellent Product, Multiple Uses
These were all-around perfect for my elderly family member, both as an excellent absorbant pad/matress protector AND to assist to turn and position her in bed. Fits completely across an XL twin matress (hospital or college dorm bed size, which is twin size in width but longer from head to foot than a twin, so would also fit a regular twin size across). Yes, it is soft enough that it never irritated her delicate skin. Strong enough that there was no stretching nor ripping when used to turn her side to side or boost her up toward the head of the bed. The pink side (bottom waterproof side) is slippery enough that it will slide over fitted sheet so I could move her in bed by slowly and gently pulling pad. (You would never want to do this if the person didn't easily move along with any sort of pad because it is possible to irritate or even tear someone's skin if not careful. I don't believe these are marketed to be used for positioning, but FOR ME they worked perfectly for positioning.Washed in hot water, bleached and dried on high heat to sanitize (not sure what the ACTUAL washing instructions said, sorry) with no problem, never any stains, no yellowing. In case you miss the instructions, there are little cords on each corner that you should NOT remove. They say because leaving uncut will make the pads last longer, but I also found that if a corner occasionally turned a little inside out in the wash, a gentle tug to the little extra cord would easily set it right. As a retired RN, I consider these practically a must for anyone incontinent or who needs someone else to turn and position them in bed. I used them to protect her lift chair (electric recliner) from accidents too - they help with positioning her there as well. The price is extremely reasonable. One of the hospitals I worked for in the past used what looked like the same product. I really don't think you can beat these. I would think they would also be useful for kids who accidently wet the bed, even more so than Pull-Ups, since they would feel the wetness instead of having the Pull-Up absorb quick enough that the sensation might not wake them up right away. Not sure about this, but seems like common sense to me. Plus, WAY cheaper and WAY more friendly to the environment. No, I didn't get these free or discounted, I simply think they are an all-around excellent product.

Washable underpads work for pets too
I use these for my senior dog- they are perfect! When I was shopping online comparing prices for large disposable doggie pads I happened to come across a few comments about how people used washable underpads for their pets. This struck a cord with me because I was spending quite a bit of money each month on the disposables. I needed the XL size which were more expensive and it did add up. I saw a few options on Amazon and decided to purchase this 4 pack. They arrived promptly and were simply- but well, packaged. They are substantial and well made. The finishing around the edges is double stitched and over cast with a zig zag which to me makes this item able to stand up to the hardest use. The bottom is watertight and smooth. The price I paid for all four pads was less than I have been paying monthly for the disposables. Leaking was an issue for me with the paper and plastic doggie pads. If my dog missed the target there would be quite a bit of worked involved to mop up the residue on my floor. My experience with these pads is that they absorb far better than the disposable doggie pads that I have been using and wash easily. I have a washing machine at home and each time a pad has been used I simply toss it into the machine and run it on a small load, then pop it into the dryer I mention this because a friend of mine lives in an apartment and does not have a machine at her fingertips! This has been an excellent solution and a great help - so in addition to being put to use for an ill human, this is also a great solution for senior dogs. My neighbor was interested in getting these for our cold northern winters when we have snow covering our lawns and dogs who don't want to go "out" !

MULTI-PURPOSE - HIGHLY ABSORBENT - EASY TO WASH - ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
I’ve purchased these multiple times over the years and always go back to this same brand because of the high quality and performance. They’re large and I use them for a lot of things, including for dogs to potty on while traveling, as a mat for the dogs to eat stinky/messy chews/treats, for the dogs to lay on while still wet from a bath/rain, as a picnic style mat, kept in the car in case I need to pick up a sick/injured pet, for human incontinence and toddlers/kids that are still potty training, and a lot more.Extremely easy to clean - just toss in the washing machine. I do put these in the dryer but line drying is probably best to prolong their life. They’re reusable so they are a lot more environmentally friendly than disposables and they can be reused quite a lot. They’re highly absorbent. DO NOT CUT THE LONG STRING! It is there for a reason and cutting it will negatively impact its ability to soak up fluids. These are a lot softer and more comfortable if you’re using them for incontinence/potty training than disposable pads/chucks.Love them and will continue to buy them every few years.
