My hose had 3 bends and decided to buy the hose connectors to avoid buying a new hose. Absolutely perfect fit and great value. Quick delivery. Highly recommend.

We use one of those expanding hoses that stretches in length when the water flows. Great for storage and never kinks. Unfortunately, ours sprung a leak in the middle of the length. Rather than replace the whole hose we got these connectors to repair it.You cut out a short length of hose (a few inches either side of the leak) and insert the connector in the middle to joint the ends again. Much more reliable and effective than a puncture repair and much cheaper than buying a new hose. Once joined the hose works perfectly with full flow.On the flip side we found it very hard to get the stretchy rubber over the nozzle. The black part in the middle is one piece with the nozzle and claw on both sides. The stretchy hose starts at a smaller than normal diameter when no water is flowing. Trying to push it over the nozzle was very hard as it simply flexes and bends putting no pressure on the leading edge to push it onto the nozzle. Since the nozzle was one piece with the claw, we could not access the sides of the nozzle to hold the hose or pull it down. We tried pushing it in with screwdrivers etc but only succeeded in making more holes in the hose. Also, some of the claw teeth showed signs of stress and bending with this so we stopped that game. Eventually, after much huffing and puffing, we succeeded in getting enough hose onto the nozzle to work. We had to do up the collar very tight to prevent leaks. It wasn’t perfect but close enough. The hose then worked just fine again.The connector is not going to be as durable as a copper or brass fitting but certainly good enough for most uses. With six in a pack just replace the first one if it breaks. I am sure they would be a simple thing to fit to a normal rigid hose. The work of a few moments.Of course, you could also use these to connect two shorter hoses to make a longer one.

Bought this product to repair a Hozelock 1/2" hose.However it was absolutely impossible to fit to the hose as the internal connectors aren't significantly graduated like most other connectors, and are bigger than my hose's internal diameter (9mm). I tried the hot-water+soap trick, but even then couldn't stretch the hose over the connectors to a depth that would grip properly.I would say this fits a 13mm hose with a maximum 1mm wall, i.e. an internal diameter around 11 mm ... or a very stretchy hose.Not returning as they were cheap and it's my fault really for not doing the research. I may find some other use anyway.

The media could not be loaded. These little babies have saved my bacon! They are made with vigour and stick right to the hose! My horses and ponies can again have fresh water all the way to their stables as this pack of delights have attached 5 hoses YES 5 HOSES! And stood the test of time! Would definitelyRecommend!!!!
