Not All That Clever, Though Well Drawn
I used to enjoy Archie Comics when I was growing up in the 1970s, so I decided to take a look at what was hopefully some of the best of them in this 75th anniversary collection. However, I'm mostly disappointed with it. I find the comics entertaining enough that I've made it about 3/4 the way through, but few of these stories are very cleverly written. Except for the first 5 years of Archie (1941-45), the earliest stories are usually better, but by the mid-1980s deterioration set in and I finally quit reading when I got to the 2006 comic. There is more variety here than I expected, with comics like "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" and several other fantasy and historical comics, so those were a pleasant surprise. And the drawings are usually well done too. But overall I would not recommend Archie comics to adults.

Color/quality is good, Smaller than expected, binding quality issue
The print quality is great, but the book is smaller than I expected (which is probably my own fault for not specifically looking at dimensions). With that said, the fist time I opened the book, the cover fell off. there is little evidence of glue to hold it on, but it also does not look as though that was "supposed to happen." - I will have to glue it back on to keep it. Not enough of an issue to return it, but enough to ding a star off the rating.

If you have ever wondered about the origins of Archie & his friends, look here.
This book provided a glimpse into the history of this particular animated character (in addition to the supporting characters). I suppose what piqued my curiosity was the hype surrounding the T.V. show "Riverdale"; there is a STARK contrast between the characters on-screen versus the ones in the comic book. Any hint of comedy is completely lost from what I've seen while viewing the Season One television episodes.Even so, I imagine that Hollywood producers would have to change the original atmosphere surrounding these characters in an effort to appeal to modern audiences.

great book but not put together well
Love it but due to the small size and the way its put together the book has already split down the center and broken in half which is a big bummer! We love all the stories though

Shrunken Archie Reprints!
Tiny reprints of the original comics printed on extremely cheap paper are what is on offer here. If you don't mind that, it is a good Archie selection.

Who Doesn't Love Archie and the Gang?
Who would buy this book if they didn't already know of and love Archie and the gang? Interesting about the history of Archie (Chick?) Make take me months to read all the stories here.

**GOOD BOOK. But sucky quality**
The book is excellent it covers an expansive 75years of Archies. This review is mainly for the quality, which is poor. The binding comes out in your first read itself. For the price I wish it was in better condition. I bought it in a freak sale at 128. It wouldn’t be worth the price otherwise for me. I hope you found this review helpful.

Cheap paper quality
Seems it is a cheap proxy of the original... Price compared to quality of paper could have been less ... But again for collection n content it is a grt

Archies
Reading Archie's always makes me smile. When I am in an awful mood this one always picks me up. 75 years is a long time to be a teenager but who cares right
