I bought it for my two weeks trip to Europe and it was amazing, it has so much space and the weight is well distributed. It's my go to backpack when I have to travel.

This bag has lasted me through four years of school, freshman to senior, heavy books, notebooks, etc. It lasted through travels on planes, packing clothes, and sleepovers.There are no rips or tears, the straps are still in perfect condition, and the padding on the bag is great for comfort so any books in the bag don't dig into your back. I highly recommend it.

EDIT: 2 years later: I still have this backpack and have used it a ton. The bag straightened out and so did the pencil bag. The straps are still thin as they were from when I first got it, but my Herschel backpack's straps thinned out to the same thickness after only a couple years. I forgot to revisit this review but only remembered as I got an Amazon giftcard for a substantial amount of money and was eyeing a new Herschel bag in plum to switch things up. I've increased my rating to 4 stars from 3 stars before, and would increase to 5 stars if the straps were thicker. Other than that, it's actually pretty well made for the cost and I definitely love the side pockets which I use constantly. Good value for your money!PREVIOUS REVIEW: This bag just got delivered today and although it looks nice overall, like a lot of things from China (unfortunately), there's compromises to the structure of the bag. Perhaps it's because of the way it was packaged (folded in half and tightly packaged, thus compromising the structure), but the padding on the backside and the straps is actually pretty thin compared to the product listing photos and just slightly thinner than my current Herschel bag, a backpack I've had for about 4-5 years now. It also looks semi-permanently folded because of the way it was packaged.I would say this Kaukko bag's padding is about half of the thickness of my current Herschel bag which has padding that's gotten pretty thin over the years, and the primary reason why I wanted to replace it, which says a lot. In addition, the inside felt lining is nowhere near as soft to my current bag either, which is a bummer. Also, the outside fabric shell itself feels pretty durable, but the quality of the linen (or whatever it's made out of) feels way more synthetic than a Herschel bag, as well as the fabric of the inside red/white lining, which feels more "plastic-y" than the lining of my Herschel bag.It looks attractive and from the front looks comparable to a Herschel bag, so I was hoping for a really great bag to replace the one I currently own since Herschel bags are so expensive and this looked like it had great reviews for half the price, but it's really just good for temporary or light use for someone who uses it every day to carry my laptop, charger, wallet, planner, and for a mobile lifestyle. If I hadn't had my current bag to compare it to, I'd probably think it was just fine, but in all actuality, it's probably better for light use, but I wouldn't recommend it for people who carry a lot of heavy stuff in their backpack, like textbooks, etc. I will say that I like the extra pockets on the sides to carry water bottles and the extra pockets on the inside of the backpack, features that aren't on my current Herschel bag.Also, the pencil case that it came with was also folded tightly, giving it wrinkles. I'm sure it has to do with the fact that imports from China are weight-based so they have to accommodate and fit as many products in a tight space as possible, but it lowers the quality when you try to open it back up and it looks semi-permanently folded, and also makes the straps thinner because of the lack of air and tightly compressed.All in all, I'd say it's a decent knockoff, but in comparison to the actual quality of a Herschel bag, it's not really that comparable. I'll update this as I use the bag more and see if the bag straightens out better as it gets more breathing room.

Without any exaggeration, this is arguably my favorite purchase not just on Amazon, but in general.The versatility in it being my DAILY bag for 5 ENTIRE YEARS (every. single. day.) and it being my travel companion throughout the world. I was using a NorthFace backpack before purchasing this. Aactually I was on my second NorthFace backpack, just because my old one was a year old. and I’m not complaining about north face because it’s a great product but I absolutely adore this and have not even thought about my prior two backpacks. I work in law-enforcement and I have to carry a lot of paperwork, a notebook computer, my laptop charger cords, my mouse, my multiple pen cases, Small items like my badge in small items like my badge and other small equipment items, Plus I usually pack things like deodorant and some personal items since sometimes just can go 12 hours or more. I carry a purse also but I have been able to move to smaller purses because of switching to a backpack for carrying all my stuff with me to my job/duties. I like this one because it’s simple and I don’t have to maneuver things through the zipper. I never realized how kind of annoying a zipper book bag is until I didn’t have one. Everything I need to carry has its place in this bag and it gets in there quickly and easily and safely and then I just tighten the strings and close the flap. So easy so simple and so far it has been able to carry everything up put in it.And the price is unbelievable compared to what I was using before. Again not knocking the prior brand, as I’m a big fan of that brand, but the price and the durability and the resourcefulness of this bag has made it my favorite. And it’s just so pretty/cute/stylish, whichever works for everyone.I want another one, not because mine is worn out or messed up or that I need one, but because I just want one. We have family that live out of state so I’m thinking of getting one to pack items you need nearby, but not necessarily in your purse, on a 5 to 6 hour car ride.

Loved it. The straps are for show, they have magnetic snaps that work perfectly. Perfect for day to day work.

Exactly as advertised. I probably wouldn't have got the one with the synthetic liner if I knew it wasn't fabric, but that's more my fault. The bottom pouch is a bit awkward but very secure.

The colour was not bright as the picture.

I feel like it's a bit smaller than I expected. I saw the picture advertised with a guy and a dog by the water... looked like his backpack was bigger and low hanging. I don't even see the picture anymore.The inner material feels a bit cheap, makes those plastic ish crinkle sound, and the pockets (inside) are not enough!! There are 3 for the color I chose. Two small one in front and one on the back side. Back side one supposed to fit a laptop. Well, it doesn't fit my 16inch new macbook pro unfortunately. It fits A4 size files/envelops though! and two front ones are skinny and... don't know what to put exactly. Pens? None of them has a zipper/button/velcro/ etc. so if you put small things or if the bag is not always upright but side ways or upside-down for instance, they will all fall from those pockets.Apart from that, shoulder and back pads are pretty thick and decent, it makes it easier to carry and fits against my back just right, at least for me.It's also hard to see in the picture but this color also comes with two side pockets (for water bottle and such) outside as well. Outside front pocket is usuful and has a zipper. However, those straps to close the main (top) part comes over it a bit, so in order to open the front small pocket, you have to unsnap those two straps for the main part, so it's a little bit annoying.. I would design it a little shorter so you can open the front pocket without unsnapping the main parts' straps everytime. And add velcro for the inner pockets so things don't fall out.Honestly, at first I wasn't sure I was going to keep it. Even the color seemed a little different from what I expected than the picture. But I gave it a try and used it, and liked it more than I thought so I kept it and keep using it without returning it.Also, I purchased it about less than a month ago and this color (canvas brown) doesn't come with a small poach or bag like some other colors, but $75.99, and now it's $58.99 and that's quite frustrating as well. It makes me think maybe I should return it, get the refund, and buy it again now so it's cheaper. Of course I wouldn't do that, but $17 within a month is a big change. I was already skeptical and upset when this color was more expensive than the orher colors.

It’s a great colour, perfect size light on the back with a lot of extra support on the back and the straps! I wish there were more pockets and the lap top sleeve was bigger however, it fits my laptop and charger! Overall a satisfied transaction!:)
