Perfect Rechargeable Flashlight
Love this flashlight! The quality and durability is supreme! The size is pretty good and is perfect for traveling. Great for work purposes as well, and even has a little hook so that you can hand it off your pants, clipboard, etc. The flashlight itself has a bright light and is easy to use. Charging is also made easy with this flashlight. Highly recommend if youโre looking for a bright, rechargeable flashlight.

Streamlight replacement that works, better. Cheaper too.
While not as bright as the Streamlight Stylus 350 lumen, its made better and actually works. I went through 2 of the stylus rechargeables until Streamlight simply would not respond to me, going so far as to block me on twitter. This one wont leave you hanging, and the Streamlights, when working, would flicker nearly non-stop. They have been "half price" for months now. Here is a cheaper option, 3 brightness modes are nice, the bite caps save my teeth, C-type charging port. Good clip. Yup. No more Streamlights. Been buying them for 2 decades now...why they gotta go out like this?Update since purchase - I'm in love with this thing, its uh pretty badass. Tough, no flickers, low mode is super dim and perfect (you can see to walk through the woods, or see the marking on a hard-to-light-up part to get the part number. Never has gone dead on me yet. This is a solid performer. High is bright enough to see 100 meters into the woods, and definately lights up animal eyes when they peep at you. The low setting does that quite well actually.

Solid build. Bright, even beam, USB C port has a solid cover.
Have used the alkaline-battery version of this for a few years, and am happy to switch to the rechargeable version. Beam is bright, even, and has a small amount of zoom that has actually been useful for me. Uses standard USB c connector instead of those annoying micro-usb ones. Chanrging port is covered by the tail-end unscrewing slightly = port not exposed while I'm using it, and no flimsy rubber cap to fall-out over time. I wear it on a lanyard around my neck, and it is about the upper limit on weight for how I wear it - but I wear it that way all day with no complaint.

Durable and useful
I bought this for the slim size to fit in my shirt, and obviously for the brand name. I've used this nearly 5 days/week for 9 months at work and it has held up! It lost a star because it intermittently flickers due to some kind of short in the button switch - backing out the charging port seems to fix the issue. I know Coast has a warranty, but I can't imagine going a period of time without it. I'd say it's borderline whether the value is worth $50 to me, but ultimately, so many lights are garbage and I'd rather spend the money on a reputable brand than to run through a bunch of questionable lights. I didn't want a rechargeable at first, but the battery life is actually pretty great and charging is obviously easy with the usbc port. Brightness is great for my application - awesome for inspection style work, but I also recently started using it for trails with the dog (now that it's getting dark early).

Great light
This is a great flashlight for a good price and an. Even greater warranty(lifetime) through Coast. It has the perfect amount of size to weight ratio. Iโve dropped it with no issues making it surprisingly durable. I think the 500 lumen is the perfect amount of power/ light output for my needs. And it can run on alkaline batteries or the rechargeable, Highly recommended ๐๐๐

Decent light
I've had a few of these in the past. I lost my last one so figured I should get a replacement. This model now has a USB C charge port which I like(old version had micro USB). It can be operated with traditional alkaline batteries in the event the rechargeable battery goes dead. The only thing I dislike is the power button functions have changed a bit since I last purchased(I'm used to how my old one worked) Battery life is great unless you forget to turn it off prior to putting it in your pocket. One thing I wish Coast offered is a charging station to charge multiple batteries, the light can't be used when charging.* after posting this review I discovered there is in fact an external USB charging port on the battery. No need for a charging base/station. I purchased a spare after discovering the C port. The new style battery does not fit in the older version of this light(USB micro charge port)I posted a review of the new style battery number ZX320. It did receive bad reviews due to users not knowing it only fits the new version of the HP3R.

BUY THIS LIGHT,You will be amazed
Love this light, I carry and use it every day in mechanic work. Bright light and will last long enough on bright everytime for 2-3 days of use. I try to charge every other night. I have been using this one for 2+years everyday. I had one for five years and lost it in yard when I was attacked by ground hornets- 32 stings lawn mower too slow to out run hornets, finally jumped off and ran another 1/4 mile. Never could find light after killing hornets.Fast forward 2.5 years, cutting grass last week and there it was in the grass. I picked it up, pocket clip was rusty, rest of light had grass and dirt caked on it and blocking light, lens area packed full. Picked out some of dirt on lens and pushed button, nothing, after 3-5 times of pushing switch for momentary on it came on and worked. After that it comes on and works every time. After scrubbing clean with soap and water and toothbrush it came clean, pocket clicp has a small amount of surface rust that will not come off, but it still functions well.Repeated charging and using every day itwill run about 2 hours total time 5 min at a time. Even leaving on charge for 24 hours it still will not reach full charge. So there is some battery damage, but AMAZING that 5 year old light lost outside in yard for 2.5 years and still worked, clean it up and charge it and it is still useable. I will buy this light again, I have already given 3 of them as gifts
