Excellent little accessory
Fantastic smallish hot light for close portraits, macro work or other photo and video situations. Hotshoe accessory means it can go on camera or on a tripod or other mount as a secondary source with other hot lights or with strobe. Detailed intensity controls let you fine-tune the amount of light and temperature settings mean you can dial in the degree of warmth or coolness precisely. The LED display provides good ongoing awareness about intensity, color temperature and the battery level; it even changes in real time.As you increase the setting from a low to a high power, for example, the unit re-estimates its remaining runtime. When you change from a high power to a lower power, the light gives you more estimated runtime. Also comes with a great simple plastic diffuser to help manage highlights in your subject. This is a small LED hot light around the size of a mobile phone so it's not going to light up your cover shot for Vogue but for what it can do at its small size it's an excellent product.

Compact, Bright, and Rechargeable – Awesome Light!
The Lume Cube Bicolor Panel Mini LED Light is absolutely awesome! Despite its compact size, it delivers impressive brightness and is perfect for a variety of uses—from video calls to photography to on-the-go lighting needs. The bicolor temperature control is a great feature for adjusting the tone to match your environment, and the fact that it’s rechargeable makes it super convenient. It’s well-built, easy to use, and delivers way more light than you’d expect from something this size. A must-have for anyone needing portable, reliable lighting!

well built, no electronic shutter flicker effect
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I purchased this for outdoor macro photography. The first thing I tried was to use it at night to take the attached photo for which I attached the light to the camera's hot shoe. The spider and camera were both moving, so I had to use a relatively fast shutter speed (1/160) and moderate aperture (f11). With these settings I needed a very high ISO (6400) to get the shot, which I further brightened in DPP along with some other minor adjustments. Nevertheless, the photo came out well without much noticeable noise - partially because of the subject. I did take some blurry shots at slower shutter speeds and lower ISOs, and based on those I think the light will be great when used with a tripod to illuminate relatively slow moving subjects or as a supplemental light source during daytime.I should also mention that I didn't experience any electronic shutter flicker effect with this light. That's not the case with other (household) LED lights I've tried. With those lights the electronic shutter beats with the LED PWM rate to causes dark lines across the photo.Build quality:I didn't want to buy a plastic light. This one has a nice aluminum housing.Portable:The hot shoe attachment works well, and the light is small enough that it doesn't get in the way when attached. I may try to find a gooseneck for it so I can crane it around the lens.

Great for toyphotography
Very portable, very easy to use, and bright enough for my needs. Works well with toyphotography. Build quality appears to be decent because I butter fingered and dropped it and it still works fine!

Small, excellent illumination for photography but...
The media could not be loaded. This is a great little device. Small, portable and battery efficient with the ability to adjust the color temperature (Kelvin) as well as the brightness of the panel. I had hoped to use this for "light painting" in photography but it might not be ideal as to turn it on or off you have to hold the power button for like 2 seconds and when you are "measuring" light in dark environs 2 seconds can over-expose an image. Not really a deal breaker as there are work arounds. The last version came with a hard plastic type diffuser over the LEDS which was great. My biggest gripe with this version is the diffuser is now a semi-loose fitting silicone cover that can get caught on items in your pocket, get stretched out or torn / torn off the unit. I see that as being more flimsy and problematic looking down the road. Otherwise this is a great little device worth the money.

Fantastic light very well built
Great low profile light for more closeup work like interviews. Can get very very bright for larger shots but needs more diffusion without post production. I like it on the low setting for indoor closeup shots of people. But the build quality is exceptional. Holds a charge for months and months just left in my camera bag so it's always ready to go. VERY bright on brightest setting but can quickly bleach or burn out shots without proper diffusing.

Simple to use and very useful
I used this light, straight out of the box, to light up my macro shot of some Christmas décor and since I am a rookie to photography I was surprised of the quality image I was able to produce without ever having used a light, other than my camera flash or natural light, to light up any of my subject of photography. My pro photographer friends that saw my shots were positively impressed by my results. The light is very bright for it's small size and the diffuser is very nice. The warmth of the light is very nice. In my shot I did not use the warm light because I wanted to create the effect of the cold of the snow - it turned out nice, I think. The light is very easy to use as it has only 1 button and a toggle to adjust the brightness and the color of the light. My pro-photographer friend decided to get this as well over the Aperture light he bought several years back - mainly due to the quality of light and the size and weight.
