Does what it says on the tin
Have had this running for a day now, and yes it does run at 1500W and yes it does go to lower power which is likely for safety reasons after a certain period of running at higher temps as even at c. 850W the damned thing does get HOT fairly quickly... and nowhere does it state continuous 1500W nor does it need to do so to do its job, even the 850ish W is overkill, which is why I would prefer finer grained control...That said it does provide a nice evenish temperature although I do WISH that there were more fine grained controls as to how it operates, i.e. when it turns on, when it shuts off, what temperature ranges according to its onboard sensors determine that etc.Heats a smallish 15x10 ft room readily even at these current very low temps(0F currently outdoors), and I use it more of as an auxiliarry heating device to forced air natural gas... I would say because electricity is cheaper, but it's not, our lovely utility company was recently running ads proclaiming how they were LOWERING prices, meanwhile they have asked and received rate increases every single year for the last decade and at this rate we will have the HIGHEST electricity rates in the nation w/in 5y!They also supply natural gas, but at least they haven't bothered to proclaim lower rates on those for a year, which they aren't even close, someone went kaching on this utility company, but I digress. The radiator works as described, just not as well a fit as I could wish in my above circumstances... lose either way, and oh yeah days are very short in the winter and generally heavily overcast so stuff your solar BS.

Great bedroom heater!!! Even pet safe
This heater works so well! The room is heated in less than 15 mins. I bought this as to heat up the entire room rather than just blowing out warm air in a set direction and it does exactly what I wanted. It’s slim, has wheels and a cord holder so it’s easy to move and store. I noticed if it gets “too hot” or above set temperature, it will automatically switch to a low setting making it a great product and reducing the risk of fires or overheating rooms. This product also makes NO NOISE!!!! It does get warm to the touch but not something that would need medical attention just more so just a little surprise when unexpected but other than that I can touch the plates while the heat is on and feel safe leaving it around my pets and family.

Heats well but can't be fully trusted unattended posing a hazard .
Keeps my 13×12 room warm ..keeps up pace well even on the low setting and generally warms the room from 45 degrees to 70 within 15 minutes on low ..I have used it in a room twice the size and it still was able to keep up ,at least for florida winter at f35 degrees outside and living in a 1980s mobile home where instillation isn't great this heater does well in enough ..only downfall is sometimes the thermostat seemingly will not turn the heat off when the desired temperature is reached ..sometimes it will just keep pumping heat and go way above the temperature you previously set ..this can be dangerous for anyone that has children or pets in a room alone..I have a toddler that naps in her crib in the room and when I walked in as she was waking up the room was 10 degrees above the set temperature causing the room to be at 82 degrees when it was set for 72 ..this has only happened twice out of the couple dozen times of using it..it has to be powered off and unplugged to make it stop pumping heat and reset .Just make sure you test this heater in making sure it cuts off the heat when the desired temp is reached before leaving unattended because when it goes over desired temperatures the heater will not cut off and will continuously heat on full blast ,even on the low setting it seemed to be heating at high and would not cut off no matter how high the desired temperature was set ..thus does pose a dangerous threat to children and animals and the company might want to fix that issue and even recall alot of these heating units ..it heats well but a possible out of control heater is very hazardous .

3rd Season, Still Going Strong, Considering Getting Another
I wanted something to silently heat the master suite at night, during the winter, so I could turn the heat down in the rest of the house. I bought the digital version. Our master suite is 500 sq ft and has a 12 foot vaulted ceiling. I run this on low with the ceiling fan running in the winter direction. This heater easily maintains our desired temperature. The first few minutes, as the oil is heating up, there's a few clicks/pops, but after 10 minutes it operates completely silently.Somewhat unintuitively, gas heat is so cost effective, in my area, that my attempts to heat individually occupied rooms with electric space heaters was more expensive than simply setting my thermostat at the desired temperature and heating the whole house. As such we don't run this heater all night as originally intended, and have opted for an electric blanket instead to reach our cost saving goals.I have owned this heater for 3 seasons. It is still going strong. The price is extremely competitive and I am considering buying another.
