a MUST HAVE for jewelry tag making
I am new to metal stamping and I LOVE this started set. I didn't have to purchase anything extra; came with everything you need. The build is solid and all the pieces work exactly how they are supposed to. The lettering comes out clear and easy to read. I used on little bronze tags for bracelets and I couldn't be happier. The pieces are all well-made and I would say next to impossible to damage. Perfect letter size for jewelry projects.

Does what it’s supposed to do
Good value. No idea how they would hold up under regular use, but works fine for occasional stamping. Used on AL and stainless with no issues.

Carefully read, shipped without some items shown
The actual stamps are ok. What is not is the seller’s description of what you get when you are ordering. I did not receive the ‘stamping block’ that is listed in several areas as well as in the display section of the parts of this set. Here is yifengtools, aka, Bestnule’s response:“Friend, sorry for your misunderstanding, but this set don't including the bench block, the set is shown like the main picture. Maybe u can choose refund this set, sorry for the misleading.”****Just be AWARE of their selling tactics. ****

Hope this saves you some trouble in your purchase decision
Buying things on Amazon and online in general can be a pain - sorting out the fake reviews, the one-star reviews that are really more of a reflection of the purchaser than the product, weighing value/cost, etc. I always feel like I am rolling the dice. This product in particular was challenging because of all of the options, etc.I'm really pleased with this purchase - feel like it was very good quality and value for my needs. Disclaimer is that I used it for one particular project, and it was wood, so if you're using it for metal, I don't have anything to say.One thing in particular I am *very* happy with is the little plastic jig that was included that holds the punch. Kind of essential for positioning as well as making sure the stamp is parallel to the surface, giving you an even impression. I tried it at first without using the jig, and it makes a big difference. Stamping them by hand leads to some angling of the punch, leading to parts of the impression being deeper than others. Also the jig really helps in aligning the letters straight, and consistently spacing them next to the other letters.Glad I bought the little hammer - can't imagine making it work with a standard hammer without loss of control and getting wonkier results.Takes a little practice for the depth of the strike etc. Wood is a little tricky as a surface. If you hit it too hard in a soft wood - I was marking fir - it can collapse the surrounding fibers. The photo I've included looks good to me, but it is borderline too deep.It included some stuff I didn't need, the little metal tags. The "extra" punch is a heart shape, and I would've liked something a little more typographically useful - a dash, slash, period, exclamation point, asterisk - something like that. Included a little cloth that not sure is necessary. Though, the steel definitely stains your fingers while using, so I had to stop a number of times and wash my hands to not transfer the stains to the project surface. Maybe a good wipe down with that cloth would stop that from happening, but I'm not quite anal retentive enough to do that. That's it. TL/DR: The jig is essential, good quality/value for marking wood, who knows about metal, but I'm guessing fine and maybe even ideal, since that's what they're made for. Buy the hammer.Good luck with your project.

Difficult To Read and unsure how to space it.
I used it unsucessfully to stamp metal lids with it's name for plant tags. The paper telling about it was so dark in color that is was difficult to read, and the mark on the shaft was difficult to read. I used it to stamp a wooden label unsucessfuly, next time I will soak the wood like when using leather stamping tools on leather. I will keep trying again, to see if I can find a way to make it work for my metal, plant label imprinting, intended purposes. Looks like it will take much more of a learning curve before finding a nice looking finished result.

Great so far!
I haven't stamped much with it yet, just played around. All letters are there and correctly oriented for stamping. The little holder is great to keep them even while stamping. It will take a bit to figure out how to space when stamping out strings of letters nicely. But I'm sure I'll figure it out. I just use a regular hammer and a steel 2.5lb weight plate on top of a wood cutting board as my base and it seems to do just fine.I did stamp a few coins playing around and it was super easy and clean with my setup to get a good single outline. Definitely need metal on wood under it, or it just deforms the metal on only wood. Only metal might work, but I like the extra stability of the wood under it.Can't wait to find things to stamp!Oh, I got the 6mm, and they are very clear letters. Can't speak to smaller sizes.
