Great product! Highly Recommend!
This worked great for me. I'm using it short term for new grass seed. It's very easy to install and program. I love that there is a small quantity of silicone tape to apply to the threaded connection points to prevent leakage. My main worry was having to leave the water turned on and potential continuous leakage. Other than a little leaking when it first kicks off, there is no leakage. The meter is easy to read and the battery power is still very good after two weeks of operation. The timing mechanism is a little off putting as some other reviewers had mentioned. If you interrupt the sequencing for a mechanical run or test, it does suspend/interrupt the rest of the day's schedule. Still, if you set it and forget it, it works perfectly. On one occasion, I noticed it wasn't sprinkling water at the designated time. I checked the unit and saw it counting down but no water was sprinkling. It took me a minute to figure out the problem. I had accidentally turned off the hose bibb/spigot off out of habit! My bad! Once you have a little experience with the programming and operation, it's a great sprinkler timer! I highly recommend.

Able to program in 1hr increments!
I'd been using a basic Orbitz timer on my faucet to replenish my fountain basin every 6 hours.Unfortunately, 4x a day hasn't always been frequent enough - - - especially during the hotter summer days and when there are strong winds that blow the fountain stream in directions outside the well catch basin.I don't need a tech-y, complicated timer system. I just need a timer that allows programming more than 4x a day.I bought this and gave it a try.It works perfectly!Super easy to program (even without reading the manual), and so far it's working perfectly. It comes with absolutely everything you need even including a small roll of teflon tape too.I bought the timer with brass fittings and I did have a bit of trouble physically connecting it to my spigot. The threads on the female end of this did not seem to align with the threads on my spigot. It kept wanting to screw on at an angle so it was askew to the spigot. Of course this meant that it leaked.I must have tried, backed it off, tried again . . 4 or 5 times before I was able to get it on straight and tight. Once I got it on, it's leak free and working great. My pump is no longer in danger of burning out because the water level has dropped too low, the birds are happy because their fountain flows constantly, and I can go about my day without needing to keep an eye on the fountain's water level.Pros:- super easy and self explanatory programming- flexibility in programming in hourly increments- clear and easy to read display screen (even in sunlight)- all parts included (teflon tape too)- leak free connectionsCons:- initial difficulty making the physical connection to my spigot- I know this is just a basic timer, but whatever settings for frequency & duration you choose, are the settings for the entire day. In other words, you can't set it to turn on for 2 minutes every hour during the day, then only for one minute every 4 hours at nightTo me, the cons are piddly and miniscule compared to how awesome this timer is.If it's really important to schedule for more specific or irregular settings, there are other more complex and expensive timers out there that allow for multiple programs to be set.

“No More Lawn and Order: I’ve Got It on Timer!”
I picked up two singles and a double RAINPOINT timer to automate my yard, and honestly, it’s been a game-changer.Setup was easy across the board—each unit programmed quickly, and now I’ve got the front, back, and side zones on their own schedules. No more dragging hoses or forgetting to water until the grass starts begging for mercy.Everything’s working great: solid build, intuitive controls, weather-resistant, and the AA batteries are still going strong.Only surprise? A sharp water hammer thunk when the valve shuts off. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it definitely made me jump the first time. Just something to be aware of—your pipes might throw a little attitude.Still, for the price and convenience, these timers are a win. Set it and forget it… until your lawn starts showing off.

Great timer!
This is a great product! We planted a neww tree, and we were told to water the tree twice a day for 5 minutes until fall(about 4 months). The Rainpoint Sprinkler took care of this problem. We set the timer for 8:00am with a 12 hour delay. The timer worked exactly as described. Then my wife wanted to use the hose whenever she needed to. The manual mode took care of that. There is a video on Amazon that showed me how to set it up in manual mode, and it was very easy. Well done! They thought of every thing!

Set It and Forget It Sprinkler Timer
This sprinkler timer has been a game changer for my yard. I recently planted new grass and a few delicate plants that need consistent watering and this timer takes all the responsibility off my shoulders. It’s reliable easy to program and works exactly as expected. I don’t have to worry about forgetting to water or overdoing it. Everything stays on schedule and my plants are thriving because of it. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a hands off approach to lawn care.

Great but keep an eye on it
This is the first season to be using this watering timer. It worked great...until it didn't. Easy to set-up and program. Ran great. Until it decided not to. Batteries were fine but it just stopped running as programmed. Realized it after about a week. Did the ol' "turn it on & off" solution by fiddling with the dial and settings - forced a manual run and it seems to be on track again. It would be a 5 if we didn't have this issue. Keep an eye on it and everything should be fine.
