The new Performance HDMI cables are our most flexible yet. Built upon the experience we have gained from designing our previous eFLEX cables, we have been able to further reduce the diameter of this HDMI cable to improve its flexibility, yet maintain its capability to transmit 4K60 video. HIGH DY NAMI C RANGE HDR 4K RESOLUTION AT 60Hz EXCEEDS 18 Gb/s QED Performance HDMI QED always connected the Audio Return Channel (ARC) even before it was a requirement of the HDMI organisation and since the introduction of the HDMI 1.4 Specification in 2009, we have focused only on manufacturing the highest standard ‘High Speed with Ethernet ‘cables. This policy has enabled us to immediately support the new HDMI 2.0 standard introduced a few years ago and certify our cables for 4K60 use.

Works perfectly and beautifully in 4K
First, a little context. Initially I bought an Amazonbasics braided 3m long HDMI cable to connect to my Sony UBP-X700 4K player to my LG UHD TV. As the player has two HDMI outputs, one for picture and another for audio, I opted to use the Amazonbasics cable for picture directly to my television. Bad move. Jitterly images, loss of signal plagued my viewing experience from day one. Even though it worked after a while, loss of signal became such a common occurrence, especially after I stopped disc playback each time, that it became a source of irritant.I decided to chuck the Amazonbasics cable away and replaced it with a more costly solution, this QED performance cable. Hooking it up and two weeks later, not only isn't there a single incident of jittery, picture noise, pixelation, loss of signal, etc., I believe the picture quality of all my 4K movies has improved! Very clean and clear, really enhanced overall viewing experience. Coupled with the fact that I replaced all my speaker cables from my AVR to my individual speakers (I am currently using a 3.1.2 speaker setup) with QED speaker cables instead of those cheapskate micro cables provided, the sound is awesome!Take it from me. Even though you might have to spend a few more quids and you would also feel some pinches in your wallet and your pockets, the money is well spent on QED, especially if you have invested thus far (like me!) in getting the very best home theatre experience.

Up to the usual high QED standard
I had a (not very cheap) common electronics store HDMI cable. It looks well made and solid on the outside and it works with most devices. However, it would not work with my Blu Ray player. Decided to go back to QED and get theirs. Plugged it in and everything works immediately. I have been using QED cables for some 15 years now, including the now dead standards of SCART and 3 component. There has never been any issue with any of them. Sure, the reviewed cable is 2 to 3 times more than a common HDMI cable, but it is worth its price for me.
