I gave this to my nephew for his 3rd birthday. He was super excited about all the things we could put in it to look at, including bugs, leaves, acorns, and of course DIRT. My 5 year old niece was also interested in checking it out. The size of the container does limit what you can put in it, and it was a little tricky for a 3 year old to figure out how to open, so they might need some adult help at first. This gift was a winner!

My grandson loves bugs, it was easy for him to examine his bugs, the container size was perfect. He loves his bugnoculars, great value, very functional,durable and fun.

Made a great gift for my bug loving grandson. Good for any child, but especially for one that already has a lot of bug hunting things.

Kids seem to love this thing! I personally don't want to get this close to a bug, and I have no desire to see them magnified, but our young nephews (ages 4 and 7) got a kick out of catching a bug that got into the house. They studied it for quite a while before eventually freeing the bug outside. My worry would be if a kid does the opposite (catches bugs from outside and brings them inside), so maybe watch out for that!

I bought four different styles of bug catchers and bug containers for a five-year-old birthday party, and this one was the most popular with all the kids by far eat. Easy to use easy to put the bugs in it and the binoculars worked great to be able to view them up close.

This is a great little tool for young nature explorers. The bugnoculars are essentially a small clear container (for a bug or other nature finds) with a small magnifying glass on the side, and magnifying lenses on the top. My four year old initially needed a little coaching on opening and closing the bugnoculars but it's not too hard. There's a carry handle on the top. The toy is super sturdy and well made (we had another bug exploring set where most of the parts broke within days and this is much more solid). The size is great. These work for bugs as well as rocks and other finds. This would be great for encouraging nature exploration for kids ages 3-8.

The binoculars are just about useless; they aren’t strong at all. Loved the concept, but didn’t do the job.

This was great for our little bug catcher. Easy to use and pretty durable. I would avoid leaving out in the sun because of the magnifiers, but overall I really like it. It’s been on some pretty rigged adventures and only has a small crack that doesn’t effect function.
