I really like this sun hat. I was looking for something light weight with a wide brim to protect my face, and this certainly fits the bill. I've had it for a few months now and like how it shields my face from the sun while keeping cool on my head and not feeling sweaty, since the mesh keeps it very breathable. I also like the ability to adjust two straps- one at the hat band and another towards the top of the hat, so it form fits to your head size. I also like that it has the adjustable chin strap, which comes in handy on windy days. Because the brim is large, on windy days the hat tends to blow off my head, but the chin strap keeps it from blowing away. I still really recommend the hat despite the brim catching in the wind. This is now my new favorite hat to wear on hikes and walks.

I've been wearing this hat on my daily walks for over 4 years. It offers great sun protection. Although the wind gets pretty strong around here, the chin strap keeps the hat on my head. My head is on the large size but this hat fits me well. For those that need a smaller size, it has a drawstring for adjusting the size. I've never tested the water repellent properties. The price is low but the benefits are great. I would definitely buy this hat again.

I said it all in the title. I really like it, it looks great, but there's no chin strap, so it's uncontrollable in the breeze.

I bought this for a weekend getaway with pool time and kayaking. This hat worked great for both! My head is a bit bigger than average so many hats don't fit at all, or are so snug they give me a headache - this hat fit perfectly. It's lightweight and the mesh vents make it breathable and kept my head from getting too hot. Wide brim prevented sunburn and the chin strap kept the hat in place even in breezy conditions. I was impressed with how water just rolled right off the material. It packed well; I could roll it up and put it in my beach bag and it held its shape once unrolled. It's not the most stylish hat, but cute enough, and in this case function was more important to me. It did have a bit of a plastic smell to it when first opened, but I just let it air out and it went away. Overall, a great hat!

I drive a school bus in Southeastern United States. We have had record setting rains this year and I was so tired of wet hair! Hoods don't cut it as the wind blows them back. I ordered this hat and have been completely pleased. The drawstring around the body of the hat (where it meets the brim) allows for a perfect fit. The chin strap keeps the hat on my head...where I need it! The fabric is breathable, but waterproof. It is the perfect rain hat and looks very fashionable - so much better than a ball cap. I will also be wearing this hat in my yard when our hot southern sun finally breaks out. It will keep my head cool and the sun off my face.

This is a really nice hat, comfortable, fashionable, and good sun protection. However, it IS NOT waterproof. I took it on a cruise to rainy Alaska, and at our first port I sadly discovered that the hat leaked. Water did seem to roll off of the brim, but the actual part around my head soaked through immediately. I had to buy a new hat for the remainder of the trip. Fortunately, the new hat was waterproof! That said, if you want a great hat for hiking, gardening, beach, etc., this would be perfect. I let the company know my dissatisfaction, and they refunded my money and were really wonderful about it. So, five stars for the company, and the hat gets five stars for sun protection, zero for rain. So, I split the difference and gave it a three.

I've had bad experiences trying to work in the yard while wearing a wide-brimmed hat for sun protection. Some wouldn't stay on; others were stuck to my head for sure, but I broiled when wearing them. I'm a 5'3" woman, and a lot of hats that pretend to be either a women's medium-small or one-size-fits-all were too large for me. I used a ball cap for my scalp for awhile, but then Ox, the over-sized beagle pup, ate it. I dug up another one and he ate it as well. I had just decided to forget the whole hat thing and make do with sun screen, but then three more of my very pale relations turned up with skin cancer, and I realized I was being stupid.I almost dismissed this hat, because the tag line says it's for fishing, but then I looked again. Lightweight. Mesh sides for air flow. Adjustable chin strap. Light color, so better for hot days than a dark one. I was concerned that the brim might be too wide, that it would bump into something every time I stood up, but it is perfect! It stays on; the air flows through the mesh so my scalp doesn't sweat; the fit is good, but on a very hot day when all of me is going to sweat no matter what I wear, it allows enough room for me to add a sweat band on my forehead and it still fits over it. If it gets wet, it dries quickly. (I have not tried to wash it.) When I come inside, that hat goes straight to the closet shelf.Ox old buddy, you cannot have this hat. I like it too much.

I love this hat!!! This is the third one I’ve bought. The first one I bought was in 2017 and I still have that one and use it. This has is very flexible so you can stow it away in your backpack and it won’t ruin the shape. It’s lightweight and just fits perfectly. Just the elastic just went bad on me this year from the one I bought in 2017. It’s a nice hat to block the sun from your face and neck and it can tighten around the top of your head and it also has a strap for under your neck to prevent it from blowing away in the wind. I love this hat and now own 3 different colors of it.
