I have bought two mains powered weed burners in the past as we have a large patio, long drive and paved area. They have only lasted a season.So I thought I would try this one after reading the reviews. It was about a quarter of the price, so I can allow some extra cost for the gas, and I am not paying electric either.It was easy to assemble and fit the cannister. Although the instructions were poor it is more or less self explanatory.One push of the red button and off I went.I immediately noticed that it isn't very long, so my back was stooped a bit. However I remained up right as you don't have to be so close to the weeds. My 6ft husband would not like to use it for this reason. Maybe it should have an extendable handle?Performance wise, it was far superior to the mains ones I have used. The weeds shrivelled quickly and I could move on. What would take me at least 40 mins was completed in 20 mins. I know that the weeds will disappear in a few days.So, I am very pleased with this purchase. Hoping it will last a few years. Will update if any different.Updated May 25. Pulled it out of the shed, fired up no problem and still burning weeds.The red ignition button gave up fairly early on but it lights fine with one of those fire lighters.

I now have the means to keep weeds at bay. All I have to do is use the weed burner before they grow too much and my flower beds will look great. I received the burner today and immediately unpacked it, read the instructions and then attached a gas cylinder. Next, I went into the garden to try it out and I can say it is miles better than the electric version I have that has to be re-connected to the power supply every few minutes. Having used it a few times I now find that the lighting system does not work and I have to light it manually. It does not seem able to destroy dandelions so they need a second go. However, it is value for money.

Arrived early which meant the job could start sooner. Sensible packageing . Easy to assemble and effective to use. Good price Would recommend.

DO NOT BUY THIS, VERY CHEAPLY MADEThe weed torch I received is dangerously faulty. From the first use, it was leaking gas even with the valve fully closed, I could hear a constant hissing and could smell the strong, eggy odor of gas before i had even ignited it. The flame would not shut off when the valve was closed, forcing me to disconnect the butane canister while the flame was still active, which is extremely unsafe. The instructions were poor and had a QR code for a instruction video on youtube that wasn't even the same flame torch i'm using. The connection cracked during normal setup.This tool is not only poorly made but poses a serious safety risk and should not be sold in its current condition.

The burner worked well, and did the job it was purchased for, for the first three ignitions, then the electronic igniter stopped working.I can still light the burner at arms length with a cigarette lighter, which is quite an experience.Other than that it does the job.

very impressed with delivery, it arrived 2 days earlier than was i was informed. It works really well at killing the weeds, it heats up really well and very quickly, it does get very hot, made sure we had water ready in the garden if needed, it kills the weeds very quickly and does a really good job. Very good value for money, got it with the 4 canisters. Its very easy and straight forward to use. Instructions are easy to follow. We have an average size garden and we did all the weeds with 1 canister. Would highly recommend this product.

Bought to replace old unit that lasted years. Very quick delivery. Ideal for shingle paths and veg beds in garden to despatch weeds as I don't like to use weedkillers due to risk to animals, wildlife and crops. Simple to use and works fine (especially against annual weeds, perennials will need repeat treatments (especially horsetail)). Remember you don't need to incinerate, just heat weeds enough that internal cells are destroyed then weeds will wither in a few days. Also find gun useful for shou sugi ban technique when replacing boards on raised beds. Easy to do and done properly gives good protection to wood without the need for wood preservative that could leach into soil. Two issues I have encountered is that the wand is not that long and I have to stoop to treat the weeds (I'm only 5' 11" so not a giant! ) and the flame appears low powered and seems to take an age to see weeds wilt, not sure if this is down to pressure in the canister, seal where canister fits to wand or that gas is butane rather than propane or a mix of all three.

Just as exeected, great for burnin weeds, need to get the Fuel tin, positioned just right or it drops off.
