My Perfect Pocket Journal
I started carrying around a small, paper journal with me wherever I go some time over twenty years ago, and after all these years, I finally found my ideal journal! The cover really is leather, and considering the lack of care I’ve shown it, it likes great. The box it comes in makes it feel like you’ve spent money. The quality of the paper is high enough that gel pens don’t leak through to the other side. You can barely even see that the other side of the page has been written on without holding it up to the light!!I love that it’s refillable—as much as I enjoy my collection of retired journals, I look forward to not having to buy a brand new one that’s slightly different and slightly less good in some way.I love the clear zipper pocket where I can not only put a piece of paper but can also see it so I remember it’s there!I love the size, the elastic closure, the three different types of paper (lined, blank, and craft), the heft and feel of it. I love that it really looks quite good for having been kicking it around in my bottomless pocketbook for a couple months, where it’s done battle with pens, bottles, knitting, and all manner of electronics. The only cons:1. Pen Slot: I have not yet figured out ideal pen placement (to ensure that my pen is always with my journal), but I probably need to break out a mini-pen that I bought for previous journals.2. Place-mark: there’s no attached ribbon allowing you to easily find your place, but it will probably be easy to attach a bit of ribbon to the elastic closures that keep the notebooks in place.3. The Brass Plaque: I don’t like the “where there’s a will there’s a way” saying on it, you can’t pick other sayings, and I don’t have the means to clip the metal at the holes to remove it. So I keep it on the back of the journal. In the scheme of things, this is beyond not a big deal, but this journal is so awesome that it’s my biggest complaint.

Kind of ridiculous value
For $24.00, the value here is kind of insane. Nothing seems flimsy or cheap.Outer cover is a good-looking, thick piece of what sure looks like real leather (maybe 1.5-2mm thick? Estimating, did not measure). The surface looks like it's been sanded down for uniformity, but you'd see that on leather products ten imes this price. And at this point, I was crossing my fingers it wasn't a thin leather veneer glued to fabric backing.Brass tubing in the elastic portion is reasonably sturdy at about 1mm thick (didn't measure). I didn't care for the brass logo plate, but that clipped off easily with wirecutters. Plastic card/document insert wasn't super thick plastic (but not flimsy feeling)and who knows how long it'll last, but it's just fine at this price pointThe three included notebooks are cream lined, cream blank, and a darker, rougher paper. The two cream notebooks have pretty nice paper in them. For anyone who cares, those cream sheets handled fountain pen ink actually quite well. It's not high-end stuff, but it was smooth-writing with almost no bleed through, zero feathering, and even showed some sheen with sheening inks.Just a great deal.

It comes just as shown in the picture.
I loved this notebook, it fits in any shoulder bag and the color is super cool, it comes just as shown in the picture and with a vintage postcard.

Vital To My Life Now
Bought this right before a study abroad trip. Has lasted me two years, in great condition. Survived backcountry trips, backpacking through Europe, plenty of house parties, and multiple moves. The pouch at the back can fit a surprising amount. The clear card holders fits enough cards for this to work as a wallet. It's size is unbeatable but it can be little hard to find refills that are in the same size. Other than that, this is perfect, and something I will keep with me for the rest of my life. Perfect for daily use, traveling or not, and my favorite thing I've ever bought.

Great gift, but won’t withstand the elements
Got it for larp, returned it because it’s better for an office desk than for a romp in the woods. It doesn’t lay flat when open, so it’s especially awkward to hold open because it’s pocket sized. I also predict the elastic that holds the paper inside will loosen up after time, and the flexible leather cover isn’t sturdy enough to hold its shape and protect the edges of the paper if it’s stuffed in and out of a backpack.I like its design and the fact that it’s refillable, and the attached zip-lock bag was actually a plus for me. I think it’s just fine for someone that’s not rough on everything they own like I am.

The elastic tho
I like this for the most part. The red color isn't a bright red or anything, but not as deep as maybe a wine or maroon red.The cover feels fine, it comes with all the inserts plus a cute postcard and bookmark. It's definitely the same size as the tctn cover, so you can use their inserts in this. The paper inserts are staple-bound, so that the elastic might not like that. The paper itself feels very normal? It'll hold most of your pens alright, so long as you're not using insane inks or stamps. My only very personal gripe is that the elastic that goes around the cover is actually one giant elastic that also keeps the inserts in. So if you wanted to unravel the elastic to customize it, it wouldn't be the easiest. It's not impossible, but it's secured pretty well. A shame, because I had some charms I wants to slide on there. But if you don't care about that, it's absolutely fine.

Shocked at the quality !
Bought this as a gift for a friend , when I opened it up I was pleasantly surprised at how excellent the quality was. The cover itself is so smooth and sturdy. I own a Louise Carmen Roadbook (much pricier French journal) , so opted for this because of similarities and honestly this is different but better in multiple ways. I love the inserts with zip pouches/ pockets and the removable journals. It fits perfectly in your hand and is great for traveling. It’s everything and more than I could have ever expected. Highly highly recommend.
