Q: Does this work with a matress on a wooden bed frame?

Not if you are using a typical slat configuration for the box spring. It is designed to sit on top of a fully supported frame. it lays out like a carpet runner that goes on the floor and the rug is placed on top of it to prevent slippage.

Q: Can I use this for King?

Yes, there is only one size for this. It will provide enough friction for any mattress size.

Q: How sturdy is this bed? Like can it hold up to 500 lbs?

What bed? The frame or the mattress? The mattress is strong, 500 lbs, one person? or 15 people? My wife and I weight about 350 lbs and it holds us just fine, with enough spring to hold our two dogs. The nonslip pad? it will hold just great, but we laid a 1/4 inch plywood on the metal frame and then the nonslip between plywood and mattress. Happy sleeping. Why spend $1000000. when $500.00 will do.
