Just works
This is the most “just works” product I’ve used in quite some time. I use it to charge 18650s, 21700s, nimh AAs and AAAs. The only battery it can’t do is 1.5v lithiums.I like that it can charge 4 batteries at a time at 1 amp, many of the competitors are limited to 500mA when charging 4 at a time. It has a battery grade feature for measuring the actual capacity of the battery which is really nice for checking how much juice is left in older batteries and for matching pairs of new batteries. The internal resistance measurement is more an estimate than an exact measurement. It tends to vary quite a bit even on the same battery at the same charge level. But it works for comparing roughly. The key thing to remember is despite some minor shortcomings, this charger does its job VERY well for 99% of people. You’re going to have to spend over $100 to find something with more or better features or more accurate measurements. For $33 this can’t be beat.

Well worth the cost!
I tried one of the no-name cheap $10 chargers. I left four 18650 3.4Ah batteries on the charger overnight for more than 12 hours and still hadn’t topped off a single battery. I decided to splurge on this charger, the XTAR VC45L, and I’m really glad I did. It’s definitely worth every dollar. This charger tackled four similar 18650 batteries in a matter of a few hours! Wow, what a relief. I drained the batteries and tried again. Same results - about 4 hours to top off four drained batteries. This is critical to my Scuba dive trips. My two underwater camera flood lights take four 18650 batteries each. My torch uses two 18650 batteries. That’s 10 big batteries that need recharging in 16 hours to be ready for the next day’s dives. This charger can muscle through them all in good time. The added features that check capacity and battery health are frosting on top of the cake. Great charger!

Reliable and fast
This charger is reliable and fast. I like that it charges four batteries at a time and flexes to fit most sizes. It is still small enough to store easily. I highly recommend this unit.

great for the price, USB-C, only downside is quick-charge instead of power delivery
i love this thing. upgraded from some junk nightcore charger. the nightcore was way too slow, batteries got way too hot, and used a barrel jack instead of USB-C.this one charges faster, batteries stay completely cool while charging, and uses USB-C, which i particularly wanted so i could charge off my car in an emergency. i really appreciate that is uses a quick charging standard, but i prefer PD over QC because PD is just a more popular standard. QC is also qualcomm proprietary while PD is governed by USB-IF. maybe there's cost issues that make QC cheaper but i'd rather pay the increase so all my USB bricks can be used. i don't own any QC bricks, but at least they include one in the box so this isn't a huge complaint.i love the screen. it provides all the detail i need. i do wish they used a digital display for everything, but they use this weird analog-style display to show the voltage of your batteries so i never know exactly what voltage it's reading. i'm used to my hobby drone battery chargers which give a crazy amount of data. it's more useful for my drone batteries where cell imbalance and resistance matters, but it would still pose some minor use here as well. again, just a nitpick, i don't think most people would be affected here.i also love the battery support. the picture and description of supported batteries is mismatched a bit. only one shows the 26650 battery that my flashlight uses, but i can confirm 26650 works.for $30 this thing is probably the best in its class. the next step up i considered was the SkyRC MC3000 at $130, so imo you need to spend way more for something substantially better.

Go buy one of these
This is absolutely the best battery charger I have ever purchased.....and I have a lot of them. It gives you incredible information during the charging operation. It can charge four different types of batteries at the same time. I just cannot say enough good about this product.

I absolutely love this charger!
I mainly bought this to charge my AA Amazon Basics high capacity Ni-Mh batteries but I also have some different types of lithium batteries, 18650's among smaller ones that I use for lasers. It's super easy to use but also very fun. You know exactly how many milliamps go into each battery and you can choose how fast you want charge. The slower the charge the more times you can charge the battery. It's very well designed and built and the LCD display looks beautiful! It displays the current of each battery bay as well as its current voltage. If you're looking for an advanced smart charger then this is it. And for all of the many features you can't beat the price!

XTAR VC4SL Battery Charger exceeded expectations
The XTAR VC4SL Battery Charger works well. I recharged an 18650 battery from a flashlight that needed a recharge and the XTAR VC4SL recharged it. Next, I decided to give it a bit tougher challenge. I had an old laptop battery pack that was sitting in the computer bag for years It would not take a charge. I disassembled the battery pack removed the four18650 cells. I installed the four batteries in the XTAR VC4SL Battery Charger and changed to mode to CUR (current). All four of the batteries from the dead battery pack came back to a full charge. I'm sold, this thing is a keeper!
