I like it more each day!
This easily became the favorite watch in my collection. I was first attracted to the simple design and solar power source. Since purchasing it, I like it more and more each day. It has kept time TO THE SECOND with my phone for several months. In addition to the accuracy, I have found it to be a durable watch which I can wear during all my duties as a Marine. Also, the hands are extremely luminescent. The only change I made was replacing the strap with a silicone one for comfort.

perfect size to use with shirts Seiko = quality and ...
You cannot go wrong, the watch is sporty and understated, perfect size to use with shirtsSeiko = quality and value (two important factors for me, Seiko takes them seriously)

Classic Style
I was given this same model watch as a gift. Very accurate and durable. The face reminds me of a Rolex SubmarinerI once owned.

Very nice solidly built watch, reasonably priced. But the solar battery is a pain to deal with.
I love the looks. It looks a bit like an Omega diver, or a Rolex, for a fraction of the money. It has some heft to it. Simple, uncluttered face, screw-in back, screw-down crown, full stainless steel casing, I expect to do some skin diving with it w/o any trouble.I am usually picky about watch bands, and often replace them with a Hadley Roma or some German oil-tanned leather band, but I actually quite like the silicone straps it came with, so keeping those for now. Solar charged, we will have to see how well that works. That is both a plus and a possible minus: If it works as advertised, no need to worry about battery replacement. OTOH if it does not work, then I cannot just pop in a new battery as it is driven by a capacitor of some sort that is probably not easy nor cheap to replace. (I will post updates). One thing I really wish it had, is tritium markers and hands. That is the one thing the Luminox has on these. If Seiko had a Tritium option, I would be happy to pay extra for it.I expect the accuracy to be +- 10 sec per month, typical for quartz movements. There are more accurate movements on the market (e.g.: the Bulova precisionist), probably 2-3x the money.Update: After a full solar charge, this watch is supposed to have a 6 month reserve. IMO It nowhere near has that. I get maybe a month only. The watch does not give any indication or warning that it needs a charge, the only warning I get is that the watch seems to fall behind the correct time by an hour or so.This makes it unreliable. Also , it is a pain in the neck to have to stop using it and charge it for a day on the windowsill on a regular schedule. This is aggravating enough, that I downgraded my review by 2 stars, this whole solar chargeable capacitor based concept is unreliable and troublesome. I would rather deal with a predictable Quartz battery, and replace it on schedule. At least quartz movements give some warning that the battery needs to be replaced. This solar watch does not seem to give any indication that it needs to be charged.

Einzigartig ist die Uhr wegen ziemlich niedrigen Gewicht
Einer Taucheruht ist meinstens ziemlich schwer ( bis zu 200g). Diese Uhr wiegt ca. 100g. Wegen Solar-Eigenschaft braucht keine Batteirtausch.

Another great Seiko diver until the day it wasn't.
Good looking watch, sits nicely on the wrist, very supple rubber strap. Clear classic dial, fantastic lume and everything lined up with the chapter ring. Slightly disappointed in the bezel, not as precise as a SKX for example. After just over two years of ownership it began to stop and start, losing time. I believe the rechargeable capacitor has failed, in less time than a regular battery. Hope to get it repaired but that will be expensive. Never had a problem with Seiko before. Very disappointing.
