Caused my face to dry out and itch

#IT'S A WINKY WORLD# ... and I'm glad to be in it.The damaging effects of blue light from electronics on eyes and skin just came to my attention a year ago. I had no idea. As someone with my face constantly in front of one device or another all day long, I became concerned. First, I got several pairs of blue light glasses because I prefer to read Kindle without my contacts. Slowly, I've been noticing more skincare products to protect our faces from ageing prematurely from blue light. Who knew?I own blue light product from another company, and don't like it that well. So, I jumped at the chance to order Winky Lux's Digital Defense+ Gelée Serum Concentrate for Blue Light Protection/Brightening Serum because this is a fantastically popular K-Beauty brand that I know really well and trust, so ordering was a no-brainer.It's a thick, clear serum with a light texture that won't weigh your skin down, and absorbs instantly with a weightless feel, as though my skin was bare. I appreciate that. The nourishing repair serum protects with MARINE ACTIVES, CAFFEINE, VITAMIN F WITH LINOLEIC ACID, and a tropical fragrance from BANANA and MANGO EXTRACTS. But, they also tossed in coconut water and hyaluronic acid.Honestly, I confess no expertise in what constitutes an excellent skincare formula for blue light protection, other than botanical ingredients like butterfly ginger plant, rice, cocoa seed, carrot root and seeds, and marigold. I do know that Vitamin C plays a heavy role, so the use of fruits in this formula makes sense.In comparison, Allure Magazine has a list of the top 15 blue light skincare products and this one isn't on it. Those honors are reserved for recognized, mostly cosmeceutical companies from here and around the world. So, I can't say this is the best product or even how well it protects. But, I figure it can't hurt and provides nourishing repair of my face at the same time. If nothing else, it feels and smells great (very banana-y and tropical) and this brand always uses terrific, often forward-thinking ingredients and new formulas that have all been very effective for me. They've never let me down and the price is always right, so I'm giving them a shot.The cherry on it all is gorgeous packaging, and another protective cap to keep the pump spout opening from drying out. I don't wear makeup at home. Using this gelée couldn't be simpler, so I'll test for a couple weeks while using ALL MY DEVICES and revise this review with any changes in my rating. For now, a reserved 4 stars.

I'm not sure if it was the packaging or the shipping, but the top (where the actual product comes out) arrived broken.Also, again not sure if it had to do with the packaging damage, the serum is chunky / not smooth so I'm not a huge fan.

This arrives in a quintessentially eye-grabbing Winky Lux box. Now, remove this container. You will notice that it feels really nice in-hand.Give this a try. You will notice a coconut-type scent. It's really pretty and really enticing! Next, disperse this over your face. You will be surprised how quickly this is absorbed by your skin: like in a snap! So amazing!This makes skin feels so soft and so cared for! Wow! It really nourishes my skin! I just love the way this feels/makes my skin feel.I would recommend this to everyone! And, I literally wear this with my blue-light glasses for protection. Why not, right?!A great product! Highly recommended!

I wanted to love this product but unfortunately it made me break out 😭 the texture is nice and silky and the smell is pretty nice too. The primer arrived in good shape, and it was shipped quickly. I still recommend this primer, just would recommend doing a skin Pat h test before full on usage =) ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am disappointed, as i am fond of Winky Lux products. They are beautifully presented, and in beautiful packaging.However, this was either a used product, or it had leaked in transit. There were several mm missing from the top, and product smeared all over the outside of the bottle.I don’t feel confident using it, and will be trashing it.If it’s due to leaking in transit - then packaging and shipping need to be looked at. If it’s a pre-used product (which i doubt) then it should never have gotten back into circulation.I’m genuinely disappointed.

As a facial serum, this is quite good. Helps to condition skin while helping to protect it from all of that blue light exposure we modern women are constantly being exposed to. Bounces that stuff right off before it can penetrate and damage your skin.It's clean and safe and will soften the skin. It's not oily nor greasy once applied. It's also not sticky nor tacky. Will help to firm up the skin without feeling tight.Good for all skin types and can just as easily be used by men as well as women.
