Good Machine
I am updating my review after Amazon sent a replacement PC which arrived 4 days later. I believe the original had a problem with the power switch. The replacement works fine and the button actually presses in a makes a faint clicking sound. The original power button did not press in. This PC is a beast. It is quiet and is performing as I had hoped. It is not loaded down with a lot of unwanted software. It has plenty of ports and is perfect so far as my dedicated Oculus Rift machine. I am running everything smoothly and using super sampling with some programs. The case is large but that's about the only possible negative I have. I have been purchasing Asus products for a long time and currently have 3 other Asus ROG machines and I am happy with the products.Original review:I was so eager to start setting up this PC as my dedicated VR station. I took it out of the box, and ...nothing...nada...will not turn on. Called ASUS Tech Support and no luck. Very disappointing. Amazon is going to send me a replacement but they have to wait another day since I just received it today. This is odd. Also the power button on the front...doesn't do anything. I mean it doesn't press in or anything. I hope the next one is ok.

eye opening.
With a big project needing finished, I ordered the Asus. opened the package and hooked up the computer. The computer did not work. Called Asus and was told to send them the computer. I called Amazon and was told the same. I was also told by Amazon after I sent the package back that my refund would be 3 to 4 weeks from now. So both Asus and Amazon did an extremely poor job at customer service.

Solid Gaming PC With Just a Couple of Minor Concerns
Been using this new desktop PC for a week and I'm quite happy overall. I am concerned with durability and product support due to ASUS putting a sticker that essentially says "you are on your own if you ever open your tower, even if it is just to add an SSD". I have bought around 6 computers so far, and I have never seen a sticker like that on a case. Especially a full size tower like this one with plenty of room for basic upgrades. That being said, I haven't had any issues and this computer performs very well. I'm holding off on adding an SSD and checking what the setup inside really looks like because of that weird ASUS sticker, just in case lol.Pros:1. Runs Fallout 4 on ultra/max EVERYTHING (including around a dozen mods). This is quite a nice feeling for me since I upgraded from a 760 GTX build.2. Will run the majority of games on the highest settings as of now. I'm not the best judge of gaming feedback since I mainly play Mount and Blade and Fallout. This comp actually had about 1500 troops in a battle on Mount and Blade before it crashed, which is very impressive.3. Very fast startup and minimal bloatware. Thank you ASUS for that :)4. It looks and feels well assembled and put together nicely. I bought a Cyberpower pc many years ago and I remember the assembly quality was garbage. This is not the case with ASUS computers.Cons1. That aforementioned sticker thing. It bugs me because I still don't know the exact models of the GPU and MOBO. I asked on here and got 2 vague answers from ASUS. The answers I got were that the GPU is made by "ASUS" and it's made by "NVIDIA". Umm duh. A GTX 1060 is obviously made by NVIDIA. Knowing the exact GPU model matters because the specs and performance can dramatically differ. I only took off one star because it doesn't really matter within day to day usage, but I would have appreciated a more detailed answer since I can't open the thing without probably voiding my warranty in some way.2. It comes with only one case fan ejecting heat to the rear as far as I can tell. I want to add more fans, but I will wait at least a year just in case haha.

Three Stars
The machine works great but unfortunately I wanted to add a blackmagic camera capture card. Opening the case voided the warranty. That will only be a problem if I have a warranty issue in the future.

Big performance. Big machine
Pros: everything except size. Case looks like a transformer.Cons: huge machine.

Will not turn on
Got the first tower in 2 days, that was nice very exciting. Set it up on my desk and got everything hooked up accessory wise to the back of the pc. And then the moment I was waiting for, finally turn on the pc and see the magnificent array of colors this behemoth holds. Nothing happened so I returned it, would not recommend, because Asus will just hang up on you

Good, but not as good as it should be.
I was looking at an Asus motherboard for a custom build, when I saw this machine. It was very close to what I was going to build, so I thought I'd save some time and buy the "pre-built" version. Although I am generally happy with the performance and build, there are a couple of design short comings that could have been fixed with out adding to the cost.1) I was warned that the machine runs hot. I found that the decorative white plastic in front was blocking most of the air flow. If you take that plastic off, it runs cool and quiet.2) The Boot SSD uses a regular SATA connection, The motherboard provides M.2 PCI lanes. the difference in price between a SATA SSD and a M.2 SSD is negligible, but the speed difference is significant. My biggest complaint is the warranty sticker on the case. Opening the case voids the warranty. I can not move my media disk into this machine with out voiding the warranty. How ridiculous! This is a good base model and it has plenty of room to mod to your personal taste, but you are on your own if you open the case. That is just absurd.
