Not Windows 11 compatible
I bought this so I could watch news coverage on my laptop the next time a hurricane cuts our power off like it did last week. When I tried to download the necessary drivers, a pop up showed that Windows 11blocked the installation. I read on other reviews that when people upgraded from Windows 10 to 11 that it quit working. I thought it might work if loaded on Windows 11 in the first place, but no. Tried to contact customer service through Chat, but message said no one available, leave email and message and I would be contacted. No answer after 24 hours. Returned it today. Great potential, just needs to be made compatible with Windows 11 initially without having to do major work-arounds.

Works fine on Windows, does NOT work on Linux.
I bought this to setup a Plex server on a Linux box. It says it supports Linux, but only one version. Even with that there is no documentation on how to set it up and I could not find anyone on the forums who got it to work. For me this made it useless. I did plug it into a Windows box and it worked fine. Pulled in a fair number of stations and seemed to work okay. It did get a little warm. If your a Windows user this is a decent cheap tuner. If you use Linux try to find something else.

This does work on windows 11 - must disable Core isolation/memory integrity setting
There were so many reviews saying this wouldn't work with windows 11, but I loaded the drivers and there was no error, but when I plugged in the dongle, it did say that the driver would not run and that the Core Isolation/memory integrity setting under Windows Security/Device security had to be turned off. I turned it off and it was able to work. Not sure what are the implications or if I should leave that off when I'm not using the TV. It does work, there doesn't appear to be any channel displayed and you use the arrow up/down to change channels. The antenna it comes with is tiny and is the same size of the stick. I thought this toy antenna was the cutest thing but wouldn't pull in channels, but it seemed to work as well as my larger loop antenna I've used before.

Worked with my antenna.
Hooked it into an older computer with windows 10 Using one of those square antennas and it worked. They could do a better job with the instructions to explain the process of recording, how to end the recording, and finding it on your computer.

Worked Great until Upgraded to Windows 11.
Got tired of paying so much money for cable tv when i spend most of the time streaming or local channels.Used the antenna below and installed it in my attic.GE Outdoor HD Digital TV Antenna, Long Range Smart TV Antenna, Supports 4K 1080P HD Smart TV VHF UHF, J Mount Included for Attic or Outdoor, Weather ResistantJust aimed it down town and plugged it into this little TV dongle and now i have all 80 local stations i can watch while i am on my pc. works great for the price.Cons: software support could be better. No program guide for all channels.....only EPG for individual stations. Work around is just google what is on local channels in your area and you will find what you wantUpdate: 3/21/24 I upgraded from windows 10 to windows 11 and it breaks the app making this thing useless. Window 11 also flags the driver as a security risk

Outdated and Unreliable TV Tuner – A Complete Disappointment
This device is a reminder of why some tech should just be left in the past. While it technically functions, it’s built around outdated standards and comes with more headaches than benefits.First off, it uses ATSC 1.0, which is being phased out across the U.S. as ATSC 3.0 (NextGen TV) rolls out. That means you're investing in something already on life support—futureproof? Not even close. The software it comes with is clunky, unreliable, and often refuses to recognize the tuner. Even when it does, crashes and failed scans are common. Don't expect any sort of plug-and-play simplicity here—you’ll be digging through forums just to get it running. The included antenna is a joke. Unless you live right next to a broadcast tower, you’re probably not getting a decent signal. And even then, the reception is shaky. The USB connection feels cheap and unstable. Slight movement can knock it loose or interrupt your feed. It’s also a power hog, which can overheat your laptop port if used for extended periods. This device isn’t some convenient solution—it’s a relic clinging to barely functional software and hardware. If you’re thinking of using it for serious or regular TV watching, don’t. It’s better suited for a tech experiment or a recycling bin.Bottom line: Severely outdated, poorly supported, and not worth the time or money.
