Worth your time.
This story line was great. You know the stories that have the big fight scene and all the destruction and damage and the horrible things that happened,(end of book 8) but the hero comes along and saves the the day, and boom! Story over. And your like, well what happens now. What about this guy? Did he live? What happened at this place? Is it gone? What do they say to each other after all that?Well, this book covers it. After everything that happened in book 8, we get the satisfaction of knowing what came next. And it's very satisfying indeed. After book 8 terrified me, we get to see how each character felt about what happened and then get a sneak peak into where the storyline might go. Very compelling and creative. A fun read and highly recommended.

Editing
There are too many instances in the whole series where the story is almost interrupted by a lack of editing. Genders were changed for the characters quite often. It was almost like the author was using editing software. The spelling was correct, but the grammar was wrong. Now that the bad stuff is over, let's get to the good stuff. I have read every book in the series and can't wait for the rest of it to come out. The storyline is great and the characters come alive for you. The action is riveting and you just want to finish the book to see what happens. Please get the next installment out. Can't wait to read it.

Continues the excellence of the story-arc, yet sadly falls slightly short of fantastic.
A Sky of Spells continues the fast-paced action and further development of the intriguing characters which has been exhibited throughout the story-arc so far. Sadly, however, the smooth flow of the narrative is marred by random inappropriate verbiage, such as encountering a word such as the noun "throne" instead of the verb "thrown", which jars the reader from total immersion in the storyline. Admittedly, this is a minor nit-pick of the series, which could have been caught by a human editor, but not a spell-checker program, but does significantly detract from the story-arc's progression, yet not enough to cause this reader"s determination and anticipation of reading the next chapter in the tale. Bring it on!

The Saga Continues
In this episode Morgan continues this superb story. This episode starts with Thorgrin recovering his senses and confronting his father. Reece is rescued by Selese and at the end Mycoples saves the day with her new friend Ralibar. Gwendolyn has to make some hard decisions in order to keep peace in the ring. Packed with action, this book will keep you entertained for hours. And there is not an idle moment until you turn the last page!Get ready for another very entertaining episode of this incredible saga. You will not get tired of following Thor, Gwendolyn and all our heroes in this new episode. Just be aware that in order to savor every moment of this episode, I recommend that you start reading from the first episode to better understand the dynamics among the characters, as well as having a full idea on the environment of the story.

Still Filled With Poor Editing, Stupid Women and Now Includes Praying to God...Give Me Strength.
I said it all in my review for book 1. This book series is filled with poor editing, stupid women and religious garbage.

One of the best series of Books!
I never heard of Morgan Rice before I bought my Kindle Fire. I went looking for books to read. What can I say about Morgan Rice and the Sorcerer's Ring Series, the woman had a gift for words. I rank Morgan Rice and the Sorcerer's Ring Series up with David Eddings, James A. Owen, Rick Riordan, C. S. Lewis, Robert Jordan, J.R.R. Tolkien, Brenda W. Clough too name a few of my favorite authors Bravo to you all. I started with series with book 1 A QUEST OF HEROES. I have bought all 12 books, in the series so far. This series more than just a good read, you fall into the pages and feel as though you are part of the series. It is the quality I look for in a good series.

It just cannot get better than this
WOWSER!!! Let the good times roll. And of course, there is a book 10 so everything cannot be left hunky dory....I started out on this 8 books ago thinking that it was a great themed story. This thing has turned into a piece of art. Combines the best parts of Dungeons and dragons, David Gemmell style heroic fiction, fast paced, lots of action. There is even some Michael J. Sullivan style bickering so you know the friendships are real. I got this book this evening and here I am at 4 A.M. finishing a critique after storming through the novel. Many writers wonder why the series is so successful. Like with Tolkien every reader can see some traits in several of the characters that are like them. Come on #10.

Too depressing
It has got to the stage with this book that I no longer want to read more of the sorcerers ring it is too depressing. Up to this point there has always been hope for the main characters. But with this book I have only read about three chapters and instead of looking forward to a good read I pick it up and read about one page and put it down because I have list the desire to continue in fact I think I will give up on it and read something else.

A Sky of Spells is a rattling good yarn
The book is great with a busy storyline as ever. Spelling mistakes and even simple errors abound but as long as you read with your heart and not your mind thinking about these woe some errors then it flows along without a break. Difficult book to put down, there is so much going on in so many places that you need to keep sharp and make sure you follow the individuals and their plots. Looking forward to the next one which I have already downloaded. And so

Good idea gone bad
This is a very annoying series as despite the world that Rice has created the poor writing, bad typos, repetitive phrases and in some instances wrong names given to characters makes it hard to lose yourself in the plot. I really regret reading the first book as I do feel I want to know what happens next, although it does seem to be more of the same in each book.
