Braun FaceSpa SE 853V 3-in-1 Facial Epilator/Epilation (Japanese Import) for Hair Removal and Cleansing Brush System

This epilator is my FAVORITE facial hair remover. It's my third one, because I dropped 2 and broke them. You often need to replace the battery but it takes one battery only and that's a lot cheaper than some spa hair removal option. Unfortunately, you can't buy this as a standalone anymore. It used to be reasonably priced. I'm sorry that I had to spend so much for some accessories I don't need. However, if you like the accessories, they are nice. Pouch is useful.

I was initially impressed with this well-designed, compact unit. I mainly bought it for epilation and it worked well initially, for a few months. Then, it was a fight! I kept changing batteries thinking that they were failing: they weren’t.The unit has a power wand which turns a plastic rotor in the epilation attachment, however, at some point I would have to coax the tweezer to spin. No matter how hard I worked to keep the parts aligned, the unit kept failing, or, would barely spin, making the tweezing capability useless.Perhaps if the inner works, eg., the plastic rotor mechanism were metal, it would have been more efficient.This was initially a good device but failed way to soon. Very disappointing.

I used to use a Brown epileptic to remove hair from legs, and armpits wit great results, I do not have any more hair. I decided to buy this one to remove facial hair, only mustache, and some from my lower chin. I was tired of using wax, and I cannot take laser treatments because my hair is too light.So far, it works perfectly. I also discover the effectivity to use the attachments to clean my skin and apply humectant creams, it works fast, and my skin absolves creams faster than doing it manually. Great product and affordable price.

Update: stopped working after a few months.Much cheaper than the US version, same quality. Liked it overall. The user manual is in Japanese. So, try to download another one online. While using, have patience. It takes time to make it work. Also, not 100 percent - some hair resists it.

So.... this face brush is my favorite. The epilator is like a bonus. If you need to replace your face brush - its worth it and the epilator is good too. As a girl with jet black and thicker hairs , it'll do in a pinch! I just wish the brush was sold as a solo deal... I'd buy like 20 to gift.

not a very powerful or effective tool … I should’ve returned it not very happy with the product waste of money

All I have to say is that this has saved so much of my time. I went from plucking every day to using this every three days and it only takes about three minutes!

It does remove facial hair but it has a lot of issues.1. It cuts the hair in half instead of pulling them from the root which defeats the purpose of using it in the first place leading to..2. Lots of ingrown hair, unsightly bumps and hair that seems to grow back faster and thicker than before in a few days.3. It hurts even more than an epilator. Something I didn't think was possible.I ended up using my epilator instead. I bought this product in the first place thinking it'll be gentler on my face. Turn out my epilator feels like baby kisses compared to this.The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because of the accessories.

1 star taken off for non comprehensive instruction booklet. Looks like it's a Japanese version (had no idea when i bought it, but actually did buy it after reading the japanese reviews, so it makes sense). The instruction booklet has English as a secondary language. It seems to be missing the basic on how to take the different heads on and off (it's super easy once you figure it out, but i expected it to be in the instructions, why I took one star off for ease of use).My skin is softer than it'd ever been since i used it. I also have no idea I have so many fine hair on my face until now! They all get removed painlessly. 10/10 would recommend.

Faulty product..

Fulfills its purpose well.

Haven't used it much, but only has a small head, so will take time to remove unwanted hair.

Make sure you buy a large multi pack of batteries if you order this item. It goes through them quick.The button has two settings, but only one setting works.The epilator is not painful to use. The bag that comes with it holds everything and it's nice and compact
