Small Pet Habitat Hideout-Tunnel, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Other Small Animals

Jack In The Bag (see Facebook) and I recently bought the little castle and tower from SPS. They came in the mail in pieces with instructions on how to put together. It’s an easy puzzle! I do like that these are easy to store and light to move. Some of my homemade hidey’s are heavy and take up lots of space! The attention to detail with the castle blocks and even clovers is adorable. The castle is probably ideal for a small to medium size bunny, but chunker Fenton had no problem hiding in it. The tunnel is probably nearly double the size of the castle, so larger bunnies and multiple bunnies can hide in there at one time.There’s multiple accessories you add like a hay feeder and a ramp/bridge. If you bought enough of these stacking some, you could build a nice sized fortress for the bunnies!

I have 2 rabbits and one of them is extremely skiddish and deathly afraid of the vacuum. During vacuuming he would hide in his tunnel or desperately tried to jump into the holes of his hayfeeder. I was looking for just the right size for a hidey house in the pen and finally decided this was it!Both buns love it! And my terrified Mini Rex now had a place to hide when I pull out the vacuum.It’s the perfect size and great quality. I actually expected the wood to be really thin and cheap feeling but it really is such a great quality. It’s assembled together like puzzle pieces so no nails or glue needed. The pieces are about 3/4” thick.I already have a custom built castle but if I didn’t, I would buy the build it with these set pieces.

This tunnel is BIG—spacious and well sized as our bun grows. I was impressed with the quality (easy to assemble and safe to chew). The size of the opening is big enough for a full grown Rex or lop—so many tunnels that are less expensive are sized for baby or dwarf rabbits. This one will last a long time and is well worth the price. We are always pleased with’ small pet select’ products, including their ultra fresh-hay.

UPDATE: My one bun had gotten sick and was hiding in the tunnel. I didn't realize until I needed to pick her up how the design of the top made this task easy on me and my sick bunny. This design - the top just lifts off. Other models the top is part of the structure. Love this product even more!!!!I am EXTREMELY pleased with this hideout and tunnel from SPS. The wood is thick, very sturdy and the etchings add a cuteness factor I really like. Assembly is so much easier than ones that have pieces that push through slot holes. My buns are just under 5 pounds and there is room for both in the hideout, but they don't mind being close. They like to nap in the tunnel, stretched out. They even poke their heads out of the tunnel windows to say "HI MOM - treat please?" This hideout and tunnel, in my opinion, are definitely made to hold up to a lot of chewing that bunnies are known to do . I really like that these are made in the USA.

Our bunnies are absolutely in love with these castles! They love sleeping in them, jumping on top, and sitting there to watch the world go by. The wood is well-crafted and looks adorable in their space. My husband is very particular about anything we get for our bunnies, and he’s completely happy with these—no complaints at all. We have two of them, and the material is impressively sturdy. Even though our bunnies like to chew on them, the castles have held up great. They’re worth every penny, and as long as we have bunnies, we’ll make sure to always have at least one of these castles in their home!

So disappointed because I LOVE small pet select, but my castle tunnel arrived broken :( I was still able to put it together but it’s not sturdy as two of the main securing attachments are broken. Very disappointed as I was so excited to give my buns this castle :(

My Caroline LOVES her new hideout. I was so surprised at how thick and sturdy the wood is. She is going to love nibbling on it and playing in and around it. It was so so easy to put together, and there are no screws or anything that could be dangerous- it simply slides together. She's about five pounds, but this hideout would also work for my slightly smaller or bigger buns. The entry doors are the perfect size and the little window is so cute! My friend also saw this at my house and will be ordering one for her bunnies too!

Poor packaging - broken ends -- marking a box "Fragile" without proper internal packaging is cheap. Wood is splintery and since the thin cut-out ends are all broken, the unit doesn't fit together well. Expensive firewood.
