Good quality and easy to setup
These sensor are great, especially that they use AAA batteries. Setup was easy. I like the included metal widgets to extend the area that can be exposed to water. As mentioned in previous reviews the water detection edges and screws are inset, so there need to be some water for detection to be triggered, so I also added 3 washers to raise the detection nuts.

Great
Brought 5 of these for around the house and garage where my server rack is. Connected up to my zigbee network and created some automations for alerts and lights on moisture detection in home assistant.Simple , affective and loud. Highly recommend

Great little device, easy to setup
Excellent little Zigbee water sensor.Could not have been easier to setup in Home Assistant, I literally told Home Assistant to scan for new devices and pulled out the battery tab and it appeared right away. The only slight annoyance for my particular use case (since I'm not using it to detect a leak per se) is that you do not seem to be able to disable the siren like you can in their vibration sensor. And for my use case, I'm using it to detect that the bucket is full which my freestanding AC unit drains into so I can automatically turn it off in the night. So I don't actually want/need it to sit there sounding the alarm all night.

Perfect connection
The media could not be loaded. The leak sensor works perfectly and connects easily to the app specified. When in contact with water the device makes a 120dB sound discontinued. The notification is prompt. Also, it shows on the app when the battery is low or full.In the package, the device comes with a small screwdriver and 2 AAA batteriesAt the time of review, the price was £21, which is a perfect price to have my house safe.I hope my pictures, video and review can help you decide.

Wouldn’t connect to phone
The media could not be loaded. Ok, this did work well when water came into contact with it. Which is very handy if you have suspensions on any thing that might leak. But I tried connecting it to 3 different iPhones in the family. Not one picked it up. Reset the internal button like the instructions said, but nothing worked! So using it on its own, was horrible to try and turn the alarm noise off. There is no button to press on the outside of the water detecter device. Although I even tried experimenting on pressing and tapping the top just in case. But nothing worked to stop the alarm sounding off, until I totally undid all the screws to take the batteries out. And that takes a while to do. If this had connected to my phone and I could control it from there to reset it, then I would have given it a full star review. The instructions do mention a Zigbee hub, Never heard of it! I have an echo hub and that was horrible to set up and use. So got thrown in the draw years ago and never to see the light of day again. So many things connect directly to your phone now days easily by Bluetooth, so I was expecting this water detector to as well, but it did not. No barcode to scan in the instructions for easy connection either. I certainly don’t want to be buying an extra hub to use this device.

Brilliant For Detecting Hidden Water Leaks
We recently had a water leak from the pressure overflow tube on our boiling water tap, we didn't notice the leak as it was right at the back of the under sink cupboard so the first we knew of it was when we needed to get some cloths out and realised that they were all soaking wet and a full box of expensive dishwasher tablets had been soaking the water up so they were also ruined. When I saw this device I thought it would be a terrific early warning system for if there is a next time.On opening, this unit is a little larger than I was expecting but it is still compact enough that it can be hidden away. I placed the unit at the back of the cupboard where the leak was previously after connecting it to my Zigbee system.Setting this up is pretty straight forwards but for some reason I couldn't get it to connect to my SmartThings hub so instead I connected it to a V4 Echo unit that has Zigbee built in, this had no issues with detecting this device.Once it was paired with Alexa on my smart phone I tested it by dripping some water on it and almost straight away I received an alert to tell me that there was a water leak. This device comes with a small metal extension which if fitted it will detect drips and very small amounts of water so I did fit that part but if you only need to know if there is an actual leak then that part doesn't need to be fitted.Overall, this is a well made unit with a modern appearance, it is superb for hiding away in a place where a water leak might be hard to see and for the quality this is good value.Recommended.
