Newhall Singing Bird Wall Clock

This clock is so cool! It's a standard sized wall clock, priced really well. I got it for my grandmother and she adores the idea that it has a different bird call per hour! It's so unique. The best part is that it goes silent during the evening hours. This clock makes a wonderful gift for bird lovers, one and all!

To anyone thinking about buying this singing bird wall clock I would not recommend this one. It is cheap, cheap ,cheap , did I say cheap ? Let me explain , it arrived on time and the packaging was in mint condition. After taking the clock out of the box I noticed the hour hand was loose, it was just tangling not doing any good. I decided to try and fix it so I took out the six or so screws holding the face and back together. After removing the screws and separating the two halves I noticed one of the screw mounts was broken , as luck would have it the other screws were good enough to hold the clock together. I was able to reattached the hour hand so it would work. The clock is now working and makes bird sounds on the hour , of what kind of birds I am not sure. They don't sound like the kind we have here north Florida. I am going to keep the clock for only one reason. I bought it for my 97 year old mom in law who is almost blind as she has wanted one for a long time. If she does not like the clock I am going to put it where it really belongs.....in the garbage.

Does your heart warm to the sounds of R-2 D-2?Do you get weepy when you hear C3PO cough.Does the sound of a watch alarm make you feel likeyou are on a nature hike? Then this is the clock for you.It has all the sounds someone who has never heardan actual bird will truly appreciate.This is definitely the knock-off imitation version....of what...I am not exactly sure. If you want a cheap clock this clockdefinitely doesn't cheep. It just kinda makes funny electronicnoises...On the other hand if you are maybe a treky or a Star Wars fan you might likeit...but probably not. I didn't bother to send it back...because it isn't worth the postage...I might put it in my garage shop...I won't have to listen to it very often there....If you want a clock that has better bird sounds...buy the more expensive one.

I guess the clock is okay. I ordered 2 clocks for my mom and one had the back kind of loose. The quality isn't that great. I guess you are taking a chance that it will work when you get it. Had a clock like this many years and it lasted for a long time. But I don't know who it making them now, disappointed in product.

I thought the sound was a little off but it makes myGrandkids happy. I wanted a clock with the whip-poor-will on it as that reminds me of our family cabin on the river.

I bought three of them and gave them to one for my in- laws, one for my parents and other one is for my friend. Everyone was so happy to have them! I think the was very nice gifts!It was reasonable price and good shapes! Love them!

The size was not given in the description and the clock is an 8" diameter and that is rather small to place on a wall as a primary clock. Also, we thought the different calls would be fun; they are irritating. We turned the sound off.

This was a mother's day present. My mother is a bird-lover so she really enjoys this clock.
