STUNNING WATCH FOR THE PRICE
The person using this watch has bought the same watch for years and years. This is the £9.99 model. It is worn all day, 365 days a year. It is used for outside and inside work, in all weathers and, very importantly, as a runners stopwatch. He has come back off a run drenched from rain or just sweat and this watch just keeps on working! It isn’t one of those all singing all dancing watches that does everything but make breakfast. It is an everyday workhorse. It is a simple stopwatch, it has a backlight button, it gives you the day and date and it tells you the time. What more could you ask for?The facts that tip this watch into the extraordinary category are that it is sturdy but not huge or bulky like a lot of watches of this type. It has always kept to the correct time, NEVER running slow or fast. And for a price that is less than the cost of a new strap or battery!! Amazing! The reason for buying this replacement is the strap on the old watch has split, the watch itself is still running perfectly but it is just cheaper to buy a new one.The old watch was just over 7 years old. The previous one to that was a bit older and was also replaced because of the strap. We don’t believe there is a flaw in the strap. The watches are subjected to an awful lot of sweat several times a week which tends to EVENTUALLY weaken them.I believe these watches come in several colours and also in metal although the price is more. They are suitable for women as well. We have road tested this exact watch for years and years. The watch itself has never failed. The price has barely increased in all that time. It is still one of the least expensive watches there are. £10 for battery driven item used 365 days a year and which lasts for 7+ years without breaking down or battery failure is remarkable. I don’t believe you can better this anywhere. Buy one.

A timeless classic
Casio launched its first digital watch, the Casiotron, in 1974, and apparently perfected it 17 years later with the F-91W.Introduced in 1991, the Casio F-91W is what many see when asked to think of a classic digital watch; square, 3 buttons on the sides, date view, stopwatch, alarm and (optional) hourly “beep”.It's such an important watch, that there is one displayed at the Science Museum in the "Making of the Modern World exhibition"Casio claim that it will function for 7 years between battery changes (assuming 20 seconds of alarm and one second of light usage per day). I usually lose mine before then, but I've never known the original battery to last less than 7 years.Because it's so cheap, lightweight, and readily available, you don't have to worry about wearing it in conditions you wouldn't dare to wear another watch in (washing up, working, swimming etc.)It looks good on an 18mm wide NATO strap tooIf I had to be critical, the backlight is bad, if you absolutely need to see your watch at night, get a nearly identical Casio Illuminator F105W or W-86-1VQES, but bear in mind these are always over double the price.

Cheap, reliable, functional.
Bought one of these for my son who is going on an expedition to China and needed a cheap waterproof watch. He is really pleased with it and loves the retro look. I was so impressed that I bought a second one for myself for walking, cycling and camping. It's comfortable to wear, easy to set and keeps good time. The only thing to be aware of is that it is very easy to inadvertantly set the alarm by accident if you pick the watch up in the dark and press the buttons to try and get the light to come on. Woken in the middle of the night as it went off! The light button is on the left, nearest the buckle end of the strap....I know that now.The strap isn't particularly long...it fits me and my son easily but if you have wide wrists then it might be a bit tight. On the whole it's a bargain for the price. There is a women's specific version but it was more expensive and looked pretty much the same and is a very similar size.

Good product. Be realistic about it's image and you'll be fine..
This is an excellent product in this day and age. It's exactly the same as it was thirty or so years ago. It hasn't changed one bit. Has nice charm and retro appeal. Has good water resistance and feels like it will last years and years. It does its job and the alarm is louder than every other watch I've ever had. It actually wakes me up.But be realistic. You won't be wearing this to too many social events. It can come across as quite nerdy, especially when compared to more modern big watches. One person even thought it came out of a vending machine at a kids fairground. You know the one where you put a coin in and an egg comes out with a toy watch in it.But I like it. It's small size actually works in it's favour for the job it does and makes it more practical than any other watch I've had. I don't notice it on the wrist and I can sleep in it. True, it has got an old school LED but I can make out the time in the middle of the night. It really is a wear and forget watch. It's nice not to have to worry about changing the date at the end of the month and the stop watch is being used every day to time pizzas in the oven.So all in all it's a yes from me. You're wife will hate it with a passion just as mine does and so might some of your friends. But for the price it's amazing. Casio quality just as it was in the 80's
