Pillow talk!
Just received the protectors so I really don't know about Water resistance but they went through the washer and are on our pillows. They held their shape and soffened with the laundering so i am very pleased with them .They arrived when promised on the day after I ordered themvery happy with that.

Not for me
I recently purchased an expensive down pillow. I was looking for a pillow protector to protect the longevity of my expensive purchase. I really couldn't sleep with this cover, it made my pillow stiff and hot. Sadly won't be using this.
