Q: Do you hook the cables to your battery ports?

The black wire is connected to the negative pole + the red wire is connected to ACC = the engine starts to light up. The black wire is connected to the negative pole + the red wire is connected to DRL = turn on DRL to light up. Black wire to the negative terminal battery is fine. Red wire should be connected to ACC or DRL.

Q: Does it come with everything needed to install?

No, it does not even come with instructions but you can youtube a video on how to install and what you will need.

I wouldn't recommend it. I've used the same 3M tape on soft rubber and it will not stick.
