Great for those small cuts you need. . .
I love using my new miter box for the small cuts I'm always having to make. This is nice and sturdy and works perfect with my new saw from Amazon...*smile*Thanks so much!

Mini Mitre Box
I was really pleased with the quality of this mitre box. However, when you purchase the saw blades for this you need to keep in mind that the width of the saw doesn't go completely through the material you are cutting. In other words, the x-acto saw blades have a portion of the blade that is too thick to go down through the mitre guides. So, I place a piece of wood under the material I am cutting in order for the cut to make it through the material. Other than that, I think it is perfect for what I am doing. I am building a dollhouse and this tool really does the trick.

Warning!! Does not work with Xacto saw blades!
There is a massive failure in the design of this product in that the Xacto saw blade cannot reach the bottom of the box due to the wrapped metal brace striking the sides of the box.

Nice little mitre box!
Nice and sturdy. Looks like this will do the job I needed it for as I will be using this an awful lot to cut parts, molding etc. for my dollhouse.

This product wasted my time and money
I rate this product poorly because one of the angles measured 45 degrees, and the inverse angle measured at something like 37 degrees. They should both measure 45 degrees. I wasted several hours, and a whole bunch of wood, assuming this simple miter box was accurate on both angles. Lesson learned: verify the accuracy of ALL your tools, no matter how simple.

Good little cutting block, at first!
I have been using this to cut small trim board, and so far it has made my project a breeze!Great price, great product, would highly recommend: and would buy again if need be.update: 03-21-19, tried using it last night and it ruined the molding i was trying to cut, I found small metal shavings and noticed the saw blade had been pulled off course from the metal being so soft it allowed the saw blade to cut the metal and create a new grove. The end result is cuts no where near 45 degrees, so all the cuts were a waste of time and energy. I promptly threw this mitre box directly into the trash. Don't waste your money/time on this like i did, its a POS.

Exactly what I needed.
I tie flies and was trying to develop a floating fly using sections of foam cylinders for the head (I call them Hammerheads). It was very difficult to cut the heads square and to the same length freehand. This little mitre box solved that problem. Instead of a razor saw, I use box cutter blades and have rigged up a jig to cut the cylinders to length and the mitre keeps the ends square.

Box itself is fine, but the only X-Acto saw blade that I have found that has enough depth for the mitre box is 52 teeth per inch. X-Acto meduim saw blades won't reach the bottom of the mitre box.
