Had for 10 years! Fantastic Laminator!
I have had this laminator for 10 years! I bought it in August 2013, and today, after lots of use, the inner roller has decided to die and stop pushing the laminations through.I am so gutted as I love this laminator. I bought this in my 1st year of teaching and it's been with me since, from school to school. It gets used almost daily, all through the school year, and has never failed me!I feel like it's the end of an era! I am so impressed and pleased with it, that I am on here writing a review - before buying another one!The price is incredible, it's compact and so easy to use!

A3 size is a 'no brainer' purchase
I'm new to laminating - I was keen not to purchase a white elephant, looking for a product with maximum flexibility options, reasonably compact quality laminator. The end purpose was to primarily laminate pictures and photographs up to A4 size. I trawled the internet and read countless desriptions and reviews. When I hit on A3 size laminator I thought 'why not'.Across the various product ranges out there, there were countless reviews describing rippled, wrinkled and jamming experiences which did leave me feeling a tad apprehensive. As it turned out I must have bought the right laminator - this one has a single roller, one switch and an indicator light. It's well put together and of a robust finish, suitable for home/small office use. I didn't need to use a cardboard insert, I presented each pouch square on feeding the closed end in first. The roller pulls through at a really manageable rate and will take from credit card size all the way up to A3. The whole operation was a breeze time after time, no jamming, no wrinkled or rippled finishes, just brilliant results. Needless to say I'm well pleased, nice price too!

Cheap and cheerful, highly recommended
I've had this laminator for a while now, and despite a little difficulty initially, I've been very pleased with it. It laminates consistently and well. It's better than it's budget price might indicate, though some people have had issues with them which suggests quality control might be a bit hit and miss. If and when it does expire, I'll probably buy another one the same.UPDATE: I acquired another, very fancy business laminator (Fellowes Venus 2) , so I gave this Texet laminator to my Mum. Then after a few years, the new laminator failed, and as I didn't want to swipe the old one back off my Mum, I actually did buy another of these budget Texets.Having got used to the posh laminator, I miss the super-fast heat-up time, but that's it. The Texet laminates pretty much every bit as well, and while the Texet is slower to laminate, I find I don't really miss the extra speed of the business laminator, as it takes me a few seconds to align the page in the pouch anyway. One unexpected bonus of the Texet, is that the compact size and light weight of the Texet makes it so much more convenient to store and retrieve than my other laminator, which was a bit of a nuisance to set up as it was heavy.Based on my longer experience with the Texet, I've uprated my review to a solid 5. Highly recommended!

Great for the price
The Laminator has worked well so far. It's very simple but laminates perfectly well and is very light so easy to carry back and forth if you need to. I laminate around 10-20 sheets a week, a mixture of full sheets and pre-cut resources. It only really works without using a carrier- just put the laminating sheet straight through- I don't think it gets hot enough to work with a carrier. There are no temperature controls but this hasn't been an issue except for when I initially tried to use it with a carrier.I would prefer it if there was a reverse button, but you are able to stop it going any further and pull it out manually if it gets scrunched up. I have only had 1 incident of crumpling and I only had myself to blame as I had fed it in at a funny angle. It takes a few minutes to warm up and isn't the fastest laminator I've ever used, but equally not the slowest either.Packaged well and delivered very quickly.Overall, I am happy with my purchase, it does the job well for a very reasonable price.

Textet A3 Laminator
My old Textet laminator finally gave up the ghost and, after considerable research, I decided to buy this model. Although it doesn't have the facilities my old laminator had it wasn't a problem because I hardly ever used them anyway. I set to work to laminate 72 pages of A4 using 160 micron pouches. Once the machine was up to temperature it just worked with no fuss and completed the 72 pages in a reasonable time. It has been mentioned in other reviews that the speed is quite slow. I cannot argue with that but wonder if it needs to be any faster. It is a basic machine designed I would think for home use where speed is not necessary. Besides which since I was performing the task on my own, I was also having to prepare each sheet. I found that, by the time I had correctly positioned each sheet in its envelope, the laminating process for the previous sheet was about complete.Overall, this is a great little machine at a very low price and I would recommend it to anyone for low usage requirements.

Very happy with its work
I've had this a year, although it's had light use. I've used it with its own brand A3 and A5 pouches.Pros:~ Does the job quietly and efficiently~ Can laminate any size up to A3, so I've used it for credit card sized items too.Cons:~ the "temp ready" light is very dim. It may be somewhat recessed inside the body of the unit. A few times I've sat there waiting for it to show me the unit is up the temp only to realise the light has probably been on for a few minutes. I have to stand over the unit and look straight down onto the light to see it.
