20 New Silk Hand Embroidery Thread Skein, 20 Colours, Large Silk Embroidery Threads/Floss Embroidery Floss, Friendship Bracelets Threads, Crafts Sewing Threads

I was cautious about placing this order - I like to read feedback from others before I buy. Am pleased to report that this is a very good product. The colours are as shown and very vibrant and attractive. The threads are high gloss rather than silk sheen (more like a rayon) however the filaments are strong and glide nicely through tightly woven fabric. Pulling strands out of the skein is a challenge. There are 2 skeins per wrapper, and they are twisted together and folded. I found it easier to take off the bands and separate and straighten the skeins. The bands on my batch were unprinted and had been wrapped around the thread like someone wanted to strangle it, but that doesn't matter - you don't sew with the bands.On the whole a lovely selection of quality threads in attractive colours and very good value.

Some colors are super rough almost crunchy, some are super soft and silky, luckily most of them are in between and that works for mala 📿 making.Colors are great. Material definitely silk, tested by fire 😉

Thread is lovely and soft with a nice sheen, I'm looking forward to using them on hand embroidered pieces to add some contrast to stranded elements.

These silk threads are to be used for making Salmon flies and must be absolutely pristine, but on unwrapping the first one I found that the paper wrapping keeping the skein in place was stuck to the silk leaving a glue paper residue on the silk, rendering those parts unusable. This is very poor quality control and disappointing

The colours are lovely but it is very difficult to separate the skein when you want to sew. it gets tangled up very quicky when you try to open each skein.and the thread splits and frays. i was very disappointed.

As previously stated not silk but for the cost a reasonable alternative, not used yet but hope it will be ok.

Beautiful threads as described and I'm really looking forward to stitching with them. I'll update this review once I've used them.
